Beginner 2: Painting Shapes with Hard and Soft Edges
Pre-requisite: This workshop is designed for artists who have completed Beginner 1: Mixing Paints and Painting with Eight Values, or are experienced with preparing a canvas, mixing paints, using a wet palette, and painting hard edges with a scriptliner brush.
This workshop provides you with two weeks to complete a painting of a butterfly with Raw Umber and white. New skills include: outlining complex shapes with a scriptliner brush; painting soft edge graduations, and creating designs with thinned paint.
(My painting workshops focus on the techniques I use for painting in the styles of illustrative realism, realism, surrealism, and fantasy.)
