DF101 Drawing Portraits of Children

3 weeks   Figures 1

The facial proportions of children follow different guidelines than adults. The most common mistake of beginners when drawing a child’s portrait is to make the face too big in proportion to the size of the skull. For example, a baby’s cranial mass is more than three times larger than the facial mass, whereas an adult's cranial mass is only twice the size of the facial mass.
