In this lesson, you first sketch a caricature of a cat named Kitty within a grid of twenty-five squares. You then enhance your shading skills by using mostly curved hatching lines, to add a full range of values to her fur and face.

This is the first time I worked with a grid and so I found the lesson to be of value to me. The shading is difficult but I'm working on it. This was a fun lesson and I appreciate all the assistance from the direction the teacher shares.

Fur is very difficult to draw....specifically the overlapping effects of fur on the ears and the face. Much practice needed to master this one.

Mine somehow doesn't look like a kitty to me but it is cute whatever it is.

Im finding this lesson impossible, so much so I have torn my attempt up, lol
My shading is all wrong, it looked like the cat was all strippy to me, totally awful.
My confidence now in improving has taken a real step backwards, I just cannot get this one right. Compared to others on here, I feel like im not improving but getting worse.
I really want to improve but this lesson has really got to me big time.
