Meet Bill - the proud owner of my friend Lynn! In this project, you sketch proportions and then add texture to the various parts of his head and upper body.

For some reason, my drawing looks messy and patchy. I may try the lesson again at another time.

Still having trouble balancing the picture (both eyes the same size or at least close) but am working this through, step by step. I'd like to do a picture of our cat once I get the idea of how to do it.
Awesome example by the way. I can only hope mine comes out half as well.

Fantastic lesson!!! I took me two days to finish, looks almost like a photo!!!! This lessons are opening
a new world for me. I always liked to draw but never took lessons of any kind. I actually have a little
talent... at least for following instructions. The feeling of achievement when I finish a lesson is
incredible.

Fantastic lesson...came out like a B&W photo !!!!! Especially the blended eyes...
Quick tip.....use a "pencil eraser" to "pull out" the negative space for the left wiskers. Works very well !!!!!

Great lesson, so much there to learn. But I agree with RMF46 tedious. I haven't quite finished, and I'm up to 12 hours. A whole cat, no way!

Nice cats in your album. I like the shading/crosshatching that you do

This is one that I know I could have done better on. The eyes are too small, throwing the whole thing off. A graph would have made it easier..

My cat's face looks a little cartoonish. The body fur looks good but the facial fur not so good. Oh well. Practice makes perfect.

Great lesson but I feel it is too tough to do great shading.. Animal's drawing shading seems impossible for me..
I tried lot and i will try more to be perfectionist in it.. Hope i be.. And I must say that cat is so cute and looks so realistic..

this took three days work and a lot of concentration, but I am fairly happy with the result, my cat's face needed to be a bit wider, it looks a little thin, and kinda angry, and some of the shading is off, but I really enjoyed doing it, I don't find it tedious at all, it gives me times to think.
