In this fun lesson, you use graduated hatching techniques to define the three dimensional forms of an adorable penguin named Tux. You first establish the proportions of his head, body, feet and wings; then outline the various shapes and forms; and finally using graduated hatching lines to characterize the feathers.

Me too!

So I just drew my own easy, simple version. The penguin still looks great and truth to be told, I like mine better than hers!

I thought this was a great lesson. I am in grade 7 and I homeschool, my teacher gave this for me to cover the cartoon section of my schoolwork and I loved it! I spent 5-6 hours on it, but time flew. It was so step by step, when I was finished I coulnd't beleive it was me who had actually drawn something so great! I think this is a great lesson, but the feet need to be more step by step.
