[color=#33FF33]I have been searching for a way to get drawing tips for my new Wacom graphire 4 tablet. Does anyone have any experience with tablet drawing that could help me? smile.gif

biggrin.gif Shucknjive...while I am no expert by any means to the use of my wacom tablet, the programs that come with it should have tutorials on how to draw on it. Basically all I do is just start drawing. I don't know how many people here at drawspace actually work or graphic tablets but I know there arnen't very many. Alot of people ehre still prefer the traditional way of drawing such as paper and pencil. Wetcanvas on the other hand has a wonderful Digital forum to where you can start a thread of your own there with people who are more exsperienced with working with tablets and do some beautiful paintings. Another thing you can do is look up whatever software you have and try to find tutorials to help you learn programs and how to access the tools on the programs. I hope you have as much fun with your as I do mine. happy.gif I am a member of Wetcanvas as well as Drawspace and find alot more information on what I am trying to accomplish with my tablet on that site. Good Luck!! And Welcome to Drawspace!!! wub.gif

Venus is right. If you draw with traditional materials, that skill will carry over into your digital drawing so the only tips you need are related to the software you use. When you learn your software, you'll automatically find ways to translate your traditional drawing skills into your digital work.

The only real tip I can offer is to work large & at a large resolution so that your digital brushes/pencils work better plus you'll be able to print out any drawing that turns out well.

biggrin.gif Shucknjive...I love my tablet. Its alot of fun, but I also love drawing with colored pencils and while I know some of the graphics painting programs out there have the colored pencil affect its not the same as actually doing it on paper. So when I have time its always a toss up of my wacom or pencils, either that or its studying for a test for my online Artist course. the the other part of the time is my family. I swear there is not enough time for housework, kids, hubby and art in one day. wacko.gif

Eventually I will go out and buy drawing supplies so I can try my hand at pencil sketches, but until then I am really enjoying my tablet+photoshop elements 4. I love merging over the top bright color with edited photos. I Just find the results interesting and fun. Thank you for replying.
