Hi Everyone!!! My name is Venus and I will be this weeks host of the forensic Challenge. I am really new at this and have never really tried to give a description of anyone so please bare with me.

How this will work : each week a volunteer will post a new detailed description of an item or picture of a family member or friend ....the artists job (using any medium you like) is to draw as close to the description as possible ...without seeing the described picture until the end of the Challenge. I have not had a chance yet to participate in the Forensic Challenge so I am unsure of how people where sending in their finished pictures to previous host so I am going to request Everyone send their finished works to Godess4883@aol.com and I will post finished pictures at the end of the night next week. Ok lets get down to business......


Description:
~Young girl
~2 years of age
~average build
~heart shaped face
~somewhat high forehead
~eyes brows are thick and dark
~dark brown eyes
~her eyes have a drop at the outside corners
~her nose is a button nose ( small and round ) with defined nostrials
~her mouth is spaced a bit farther down from the nose than most...but not by too much
~she has average size lips in a natrual pouty shape
~light/medium skin tone
~dark blonde hair to light brown hair
~straight
~two front pony tales and the back long and left out
~she is wearing a white cotton shirt
~long sleeve
~and a pink vest with ruffles along the collar


I know alot of you were hoping for an adult picture but at the moment I don't have any good ones. I hope you all have fun trying to do this challenge and look forward to seeing all of the wonderful results. Most of all have fun with your efferts!!! There is no right or wrong. If everyone is okay with this ..being its hard to get volunteers for this thread ... I would like to finish this challenge then move to another topic ...like animals and cartoons .. a wonderful idea of brians

Kim its cool by me!!! Exspecially with the animals it would be cool to see what people come up with, as well as cartoons too. Maybe use famous cartoon characters and describe them and let people figure out which one to draw???

The little girl sounds like she will fun to draw.

The idea of doing animals or cartoons will be net as well.

Hi Kim, I love the challenge of these forensic drawings - would the animals, cartoons etc be in the same format? Whatever happens I'll be going along with it anyway! Sylvia

I think the format on the animal one will be a picture posted ... this way we can work together to learn how to do hair and noses and stuff like that we can look through the lessons here on animals .. and get better at drawing them .. myself i am not real good at animals so i need to learn
the cartoons I think I will post a cartoon .. maybe one I have already done this way no copyright problems... they will be posted in different threads ..does this sound like a good idea ?

Meow...I am sooooo sorry!!! I forgot all about being host of the forensic thread!!! You were the only one who drew a picture for it and I saved it to my desktop in a folder I created for the challenge and then moved the folder to my documents...out of site out of mind type scenerio I guess. I started the Imagination Equals Cartoon Creations Thread and forgot all about this one. You did a fantastic job though!! Here is the reference image of who you were drawing: Her name is Patience and she is my 2 year old.

I tried this and got some amazing aliens. But no little girls in pigtails. Some kind of mental block.

I dont think we will be doing this challenge anymore .. at least not for now .. we have started some new ones

Paulette well if you got some cute aliens then you could just color them and add them too the cartoon thread...LOL if anything Mommy will show Patience her aliens...

Great job! I like the eyes especially. I've been working on eyes lately. Sorry I missed this challenge. That's too bad no one wants to do it anymore though. I still do!




I couldn't do this challenge due to "life took me away." Too bad! I'll miss it. It was keeping me oiled and greased. People who come to my home and see all the pix of the forensic sketches are impressed. I have them tacked to me wall. Janjan
