Violinagin
Hi everyone. I'm rather new here. Posted what I had, got used to commenting on other people's work, and browsed through the forum today between classes.

My real name is Allison. Violinagin is a name I've used since seventh grade. Now I'm 21 and in my third year of college. Wow how time flies! I'm majoring in studio art and minoring in English and Art History and something else I haven't decided on. I'm really, really busy all of the time. biggrin.gif But that's ok.

I've been looking for good tutorials and all online and in every book I can get my hand on. This is one of the best sites I've found. I want to teach others about art and to do that I have a ton to learn and many ways to learn it.

Anyway. Just wanted to say hi... so... "HI!"

Welcome to Drawspace, Allison. The lessons here are easy to follow but it doesn't look as if you need any lessons. Join us in the challenges and challenge yourself to some of the pictures we post. Everyone is so helpful here and if you need an honest "critique", we have a thread for that too. There is a "Sketching From Life" challenge also and a "Go Wild" challenge for those that like to draw animals. There is even a Cartoon Thread since we have several people who like to do that also.

I hope to see you in the threads and can't wait to see some more of your work. Its fantastic.

Challenges sound fun! I'll probably start looking for them at the end of next week. Then finals will be done and I don't have to worry about them taking over my classes!

I'll be happy to share all I can. I have such a terrible time explaining things though, which is why I have a lot to learn... Gotta get what I'm trying to teach to come out correctly! laugh.gif

Thank you! Though I do try and get all the help I can get... And for teaching I need to learn just about every way to explain something. laugh.gif Or sometimes it seems like that...

Hmm... these challenges sound great. I don't want to skiv off finals but it's so tempting when there is art to do! laugh.gif Where are these challenges at? Is there a different forum or am I just not seeing it? (Obvious things smack me in the face all the time... tongue.gif) --- It was obvious! I just found it!! *laughs*
