Rafealmarron,
The trumpet is looking great. Keep up the good work. I'll make sure you're included even if you come in late.
Brian,
Great Snoopy. I hope you are feeling okay. Get better quick and do lots of exercise. Venus is right we won't allow too many excuses. wub.gif
Kim,
Yes, Zena dog is very cute, but hyper. My sister-in-law and I can't look at her or speak to her when she comes in, because she will pee. Myself I like a big dog.
Violinagin,
I like the style you brought to your drawing of Zena. I'm glad you found time.
Dissector,
Excellent drawing on the trumpet. I am sad you won't be able to try the others.
TheZedWord0920,
Can I tempt you into drawing the cute doggie and sharing with us? smile.gif
Shoulders,
Without technology you wouldn't be here with us and that would be a shame.

Hi Paulette
thank you for encouraging me so much! smile.gif

I feel like I rushed trhough this challenge this time and the result really disappoint me. I could have done better, at least I think. While drawing I realised I felt unconfortable because I knew metals as "difficult" to draw and I did not focus on what the ref pic was. I had to follow Rose's method (quote: "Basically all I am doing is looking carefully at the reference and putting down the values as they occur one next to the other on my paper. I'm not drawing a trumpet")

I see some real masterpieces on this subject in the previous post (Rose, Amy, Cyn, Southern Cross, Rafael and, obviusly, Dissector [the ring on the right must show the background on the inside. You did wrong man! You're fired! mad.gif dry.gif smile.gif biggrin.gif ]) . Congrats to everyone, you are a reference to me.

Anyway don't try foolish me: I know this is not a trumpet, it's a cage. I've never seen so many pipes goin' up and down, left and right. Maybe it's playble but it remains a cage! dry.gif

PS
Rose, I used the other sketchbook with a smoother paper but still feel not satisfied with the result. Next drawing I'll use the Fabriano smooth paper (the one I used for the portrait class) and a friend of mine to draw on it. happy.gif

Dissector , awsome job on the horn ..I love it

Paldon you guys are making me want to try ..again I love the horn .
Venus
biggrin.gif Ok, I decided to do the trumpet and it liked doing it and practicing the shading. It was an excellent reference image!! I may try another one before the weekend is over depending on when I finish helping my parents move. Grrrrr, I dont want to trust me. Too far of a drive and gas prices are up again!! Ok here is my challenge for the week. wub.gif

I was scared beginning on it. Always think that some things are to much for me.

My husband said to just do it and see what the outcome will be. Well, here it is... Wandering what you all think of it.

Have a nice day!

Awesome ! I have been painting and drawing mostly landscapes and buildings for 30 years and have always been afraid of drawing dogs and horses for some reason, you have inspired me to try them.. biggrin.gif

Hi Niky,
I hope you'll join us. We are a very friendly group here. Pick a picture and give it a try. smile.gif
Poldone,
How did you know? tongue.gif You did a decent job of it. Now you can tackle your next metal thing with confidence.
Venus,
Good job. I hope you get time to try another. Moving people is never the funnest thing to do. Your family is lucky to have you help. Drive careful in this weather!
Unclebutchie,
I hope this means I will see a Zena picture from you soon! I'll be looking for it.

I was feeling a little guilty for not entering anything. Everyone else's drawings are so good!!
I drew cars when I was in school, and should have been doing my work. Its funny but, when I look at the drawing I just finished It takes me right back to my junior high study hall days!!

Williac,
Nice job on the mustang. Now is remembering junior high a good thing or bad? smile.gif I'm glad I pulled you away from those great cat cartoons for awhile. Of course we still expect updates on them. tongue.gif
Brian David,
As you know I love these challenges, everyone is doing great. Pretty good mustang, despite the drugs. I like the touch of red.
Pegcraig,
