i ws trying to do that leg of the dog picture in the lessons and i cant do the shading right i suck at shading...can someone please help me

I looked at your gallery and you seem to have good control of your lines. My advice is practice with simple shapes, like cylinders and balls. When you are shading, move your pencil toward the lighter area and lift up very slowly at the end of the stroke. This will cause the line to be finer at the end.

You will get more control as you practice like this. tongue.gif

Mine sucks too! But, I have only done it a few times. I hope practice does make perfect. Instead of a gradual transition from light to dark, mine seems to have distinct seperation between the two. I think part of it, is my hatching lines are the same length. I need to do a better job with making the lines different lengths
