i know how u feel mine and my husbands laptop died on us back last aug and we had to get a brand new Pc it aint cheap is it? plus there is Vista is out now aswell but we got a big discount for it as we tested some stuff out for them but i dont know you so i hope to get to know u better am just a begginer artist myself nice to meet you mate!

Welcome back, Sylvia. I know how you feel about the computer. I'm having one built right now because I'm pretty sure mine is about to die on me at any time now.
Luckily for me, my son has always built my computers for me and they don't end up being nearly as expensive as buying one retail and no way I could get the specs I'm getting for the price if I bought it retail. He only charges me for the parts and no labor so it's pretty affordable for me. Plus I had to buy Windows XP as I'm still running on Windows 2000. I chose not to get Vista because he says it has some snags in it that they haven't cleared up yet.
I'll probably end up giving my old one to my grandson to use for parts. He's my little whizkid on the computer. Only 12 and ready to take his certification test on computers!
