Yeah. I guess this is not a very nice month. My grandfather just passed away this week in the USA and we can't even go there and see him. We haven't seen him in one year. All we can do is to thank him and pray for him.
I hope your step dad gets better. I wish you all the best.

wow uk thats aweful. when it rains it pours. i hope everything turns out okay. i wish i could tell you to try not to worry but of course you will. i would too. it is very very difficult to go through all that, with sick family and friends. i know it was the hardest time in my life so far when my father was sick. where in the usa are your parents? i dont know what pak means. i am so sorry about the baby too. i think that would have to be the worse seeing a baby sick. but i think you should try really hard to be strong for everyone and you stay healthy too because you are probably going to be turned every which way with everyone. also try to make time for yourself to get you mind occupied. keep me informed too. take care nicole.

I am sorry to hear that other members are also experiencing death in the family. My grandma recently got really sick and it sounds like she doesn't have long to live.
Other than that I am just dreading the arrival of the end of this school year because of the ACT and Ap test but following that I have a well planned, fun, and art packed senior year!

hey nicole-- havent been doing much--still fighting this dang sinus infection, dr gave me some different anitibiotics. i think they might be working. sometimes it feels like they are and sometimes they dont. the next stop for me is an ear nose and throat specialist. still looking for a car. i have my eye on one but i need to save just a little more money for down payment. i dont want my monthly payments to be to high. i am such a penny pincher, it aint even funny. its so funny because two of my sisters just by the best of the best and they dont comparison shop and me and my other sister go garage saleing and flee markets-- hit clearance sales and stuff like that. i go around the house turn lights off and tvs that arent being watched off. my dad was the same way.

Wow, seems like almost everybody's got their share of troubles for this month. Let's just all hope that this month gets better.

Good luck to everybody. At least we have this place where we can share this things.

@aviation: I want to have an art-packed schoolyear too! Unfortunately, the Art school here won't accept me because I'm too young. So I just decided that I'm going to give myself an art-packed when-i'm-not-at-school year.
Aviation
Mar 9 2007, 04:38 AM
How are you too young? Did you skip a year or something? Or maybe I am missing something.
The college I am thinking about going to has a 95% acceptance rate.

Am I too good for that? lol Supposedly the school is supposed to challenge at your level and the point is to accept almost everybody but I wonder what other schools are like. I have only looked at 2 so far.

Gyar.... My inspiration left me again today. The 300-pound hammer of inspiration struck me multiple times, but, as usual, it was a hit-and-run. It leaves me extremely frustrated, but there be nothing I can do about it.

@aviation: Well, it's like this. I got accepted to some kind of a higher level of high school in the Philippines. I studied there for 3 years then we transferred to holland. They gave us a test and it turns out that I am fit for the high level of education (haha. it's difficult to explain, but that's something in between the university level and the vocational level.). Anyway, turns out they only accept 18 year-olds and older. Sooo. There.

But I guess self studying can be quite fun.

@sharkwaffle: That happens to me to. I hate that. Especially now, when I rarely get enough time to do my art, and then when I have some time, I get distracted. I am trying to discipline myself right now. I reduced my computer time to 25%.

Mar 10 2007, 05:26 PM

Hiyas, that sucks that they won't let you start school until you are 18 but I am sure you will do fine self educating yourself in the meanwhile. Besides, most artist are self taught. Just keep working hard and you'll succeed.

As for me, my month seems to be going pretty smoothly. No one is sick at the moment, no deaths or serious illnesses (that was last month, father in law was in the hospital with pnuemonia which he has recovered from..Thank God!!). Hubby seems to be doing fairly well with his business. Kids of course are driving me more and more crazy everyday. Plus, my sister finely moved out!!! yeaaaaaah!!

I am excited that I don't have to deal with her but she was dumb with her moving out. She moved in with my parents which I don't think was a good idea at all. My father is far from responsible and never has been. He hasn't worked in over 7 years and my mom just got layed off from her current job indefinately. They moved from their last apartment which they paid $550 a month and they could hardly afford rent and were behind to another apartment where they pay $645 a month. My dad says they are to split the rent in thirds for each of them and my mother is under the assumption they are to pay half and half. I really hope they don't mess up my sister credit. All well guess its her problem I just know if it all falls downhill none of them are moving in with us!!!
Sorry to hear about everyone elses tradgidies. I know how painful it can be. Ok I think I vented pretty well.

venus i just dont think i could live with any of my sisters anymore. i love em but i cant live with em. and its so wierd to think of you dad not working. my dad had always worked since he was 14 years old. even when he got sick he would go on lunch and do chemo and then go back to work. til the last year he was alive. my mom always stayed home and cooked and cleaned and took care of us kids. but when he got to sick to work she worked outside and he made her lunch and did dishes and stuff. they were married for 42 years. she was 15 when they got married-- he was 19. they both said it was the kids that kept them together because he wasnt about to give them up and she said she wasnt so they stayed but the funny thing is that when we were all out of the house they still stayed--they said then they were to old to leave. they always joked like that. even my husbands parents as they are still always worked. so its just wierd that your dad dont. is he disabled or something. but my brother in law dont work either and i couldnt tell you how behind they are on rent. months and months. i have no clue why they havent been evicted. i hope they dont but i dont know how they havent been. my sister in law works as stna. she does the best she can.

Mar 10 2007, 07:41 PM

Lori, nope he is not disabled in the least, well maybe mentally but thats about it. Phsically he is fine besides his hips giving him trouble here and there. May be a problem in the future years to come. My mom had been supporting the both of them up until recently when her job of 17 years let her go. They never gave a real reason why. Unlike your parents, my parents should have divorced years ago. My dad has and always will be a lowlife. I mean don't get me wrong, I have forgiven and basically forgotten what has happened in my past due to him but he absolutely makes me sick. I have hated for the last few years watching my mom work her fingers to the bone and him do nothing but lounge around. On top of him blowing alot of her hard earned money for his weed habit. I mean to each their own, I don't condone anyone for their personal preferences but when it takes away from your life and you already have nothing thats when I have a big problem with it. As for my mom, I know she feels she can't live without him though she would be better off, and I am sure it has been alot of years of mental abuse. Now my sister who has went through alot of suffering at the hands of horrible Foster Parents has to endure the misery of living with our parents. She is 29 years old and hasn't lived with my parents since she was taken from them at 12. Trust me she herself has alot of emotional baggage, one of the reasons why I am glad she moved out. But, I don't think it is for her best interest, which is the sad part. So I don't know what to think. i give their whole living arrangement 3 months tops before they all fall behind, and I bet it is at the hands of my father and his drug habit. If it doesn't then God is watching out for one of them.
racedolls
Mar 12 2007, 09:50 PM
your right venus-- then its God watching out for them. i have a brother in law like i said they are so behind in their rent but they have money to buy weed and go shopping and eat red lopster or lone star (which is fancy to me) we have mcdonalds once in awhile. a few years ago my husband got him a job at bfi and they hired him on the spot because of my husband but he had to fill out the application as formality. well he wouldnt fill it out, so my husband actually filled it out for him and told him he was to start work the next morning and he did for awhile. he worked their about a year and bfi gives ramdem drug test and my brother in law failed his-- and they pulled my husband in and said because he is your brother in law and we know they just had a baby we want to offer him treatment. well he refused it and lost his job. so ever since he worked for his dad here and there til his dad passed a year and half ago and hasnt been doing anything since. i dont judge who smokes it either. my opinon is like beer some people can do it and have no problems but some people are alcoholics and abuse drugs. some can and some cant. but i feel if you loose your job and cant keep a job because of it then you have a problem some people really need to get their prioritys straight.
i had two wisdom teeth removed today and i was scared to death. my whole body was shaking because i am so afraid of the dentist. he was soooo wonderful-- i did not feel one ounce of pain. i had to take two tylnol over the counter and thats it. i cant believe it. i thought i would be in sooo much pain. he is the best dentist. i had one tooth in the front that they couldnt save and now i have a false one in its place. with everything else i sure didnt want a front tooth missing!!!! now i have a flipper and this thing is so agrivating. i have to go back tomarrow to check everything and he is suppost to shape it more so hopefully it will be better. i just could not believe how well it went. i am sooo glad of it too. i had a root canal about 10 years ago and it hurt so bad that i passed out in the chair. and i wouldnt go back since. but i am glad i did this time. now i am not afraid anymore. i hope to get some drawing done tonight and tomarrow.
kim i started that picture that you drew for last weeks drawing challenge but didnt get it done in time but i would still like you to see it. i love your style and love your imagination. i had so much fun doing it too. i have been meaning to tell you that my husband and i went into auto zone a few weeks ago and we were looking at the decals that they put on cars and they had some women kind of similar like yours but yours are sooooooooo much better. you should really get your work out there more some how. i tell you girl you are really good.

Mar 13 2007, 02:38 AM

Lori, glad your experience witht he dentist went well. I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled at once and no problems at all. Then when it was time for the 4th to come out it hurt worse than anything I can remember. I had great perfect teeth all through my childhood up until I had my first baby, then they went straight down hill. I have crowns on my top front 4 teeth. I started getting a cavity right between my two front teeth in the middle and did fillings for awhile but they kept cracking, so I adventually broke down and got the crowns. It sucks though, since I have had my children I basically need crowns on all of my teeth. On top of crowns being extremely exspensive!!!! Then to have to have a root canel ontop of it, better off getting them all pulled out and getting dentures I tell you..

yeah I hear you about being addicted to alcohol and drugs, my dad used to be a big drinker but has basically stopped except for once in a great while he will drink, but his weed, nope no way..its his number one priority. He is an addict. I seriously believe that he is bipolar and has a chemical inbalance in his brain and its his way of self medicating himself without having to see a shrink. He cannot cope with life at all without it. If he is without it he literally hides in his bedroom until he figures out a way to come up with money to go buy more. Sometimes he will stay in there for days at a time. Just glad I am not his wife and I don't have to deal with him.

Kim, OMG I LOVE your new avatar picture!!! You look awesome. Is that how short your hair is right now?? Like a new picture? I need to update mine. I have a good one I took a few weeks ago I like so I am thinking about using it. (Maybe tonight if I get around to it..

The ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter

Lori..We FINALLY got both of our income tax checks back sooo I have been busy surfing the web on new artist supples. I am going to get my drawing table and bunches of other stuff. Other than that I have been working on my portrait drawings, nothing major here. Girls are forever fighting with other girls in the neighborhood out of jealousy of one or the others playing with each other and not them, so have been really stressed with that and parents involved...Talk about drama queens!!!!!! One of the mothers was so horrible that I had enough and told her off. Normally it takes alot for me to get upset to the point where I blow up at someone, I am a very passive person til you cut that last string, and boy did she. LOL now both of our girls are calling each other, blowing up the phones and wanting to play..I'm like WTH???

Other than that I am busy trying to figure out what art stuff I want to add to my collection. Ohhh yeah, need to add my ebony pencils......

venus-- i can only imagine what its like to have sooo many girls, thats why i am glad sometime (sometimes) that i have boys. but boys can be the same way sometimes too. fighting one second and playing the next. i cant believe one of the mothers would be so mean though. they should just let them be and work it out themselves. they usually do. she is in for alot of trouble if she doesnt and especially when her daughter starts dating. i know what you mean--it usually takes alot for me to go off too but when it comes to kids versus grown ups that really just burns me right now. even though all my kids are teens now my neighbors kids are still little and all the neighborhood kids come over and we basically share the back yards so they have a bigger place to play. everyone is always asking me dont you mind. i dont mind at all as long as they behave, i miss mine when they were small and like to here all the kids playing. in the summer sometimes mine will still go out and play hide and go seek at night or lazer tag. looking forward to summer again.

Safer at two than as an adult.
They're a lot closer to the ice, so not as far to fall.
Also, two-year-olds are a LOT more resilient than adults. My 2yr old son gets
up and runs away giggling after a crash that would leave me immobilized.
