Hi Laurie.

I am sorry that you didn't get any help, but you posted your question in the wrong thread.
This is the welcome thread - and your post would be better found in general diskussion or in the critique thread.

But okay - have you ever looked up Brendas lessons?
You can go and learn about shading here and also here .

Laurie,

Welcome to drawspace! I have been so busy irl that I haven't been able to do more than check on the threads in general discussion forum.
I'm sorry that you haven't gotten the help you need. Please feel free to post in the general discussion thread by posting in the critique thread or posting your own thread. If you still don't get the help you need then feel free to pm me anytime.

Don't get discourage Laurie, there are a lot of very nice people here.

The free drawing lessons will help. You can also check out my drawings and suggestions.

If you see someone's style you like you might ask that individual a question.

I'm still getting used to checking around on posts and comments.

Hi Laurie. When I get a few minutes on here I always go to the members gallery and catch up on everything that people have drawn since the last time I was here. I just found yours and went through your whole gallery.. I left some comments. I'm sorry I didn't catch up with you sooner. You're coming right along with your art. I know how you feel about shading. I am still trying to get the hang of it.
Oh yeah, Welcome to drawspace.. I forgot to mention that. rolleyes.gif

Welcome Laurie - I think Martina was right, you need to post in the Critique Thread or somewhere in the General Discussion Threads and not in the Welcome Threads. Just by posting in the Gallery won't necessarily get you the help you need. I personally consider the Gallery a place to post your finished pictures although some people just put any drawings in there. So once they are finished, its hard to help you correct your mistakes. Just put one of those "smiley help" emoticons on your post. help.gif

Once you get the hang of it, you'll get all the help you need. LOL
