Not a bad lesson, I still find it hard to draw smoothly values.

Great lesson and i enjoyed it tremendously. Quick question though to Brenda and everyone else. Do you have any tips on drawing african hair, you know the kind that is short and kinky. Really gives me a headache.

thx

Funny you should ask -- that's the only kind of hair I CAN draw. I simply use squirkelling, which of course I learned from Brenda. For me, it's easy to move from smooth squirkeling to afro hair.

I cant figure out how to define The start and end of the hair lines? like the Edges and Start points.. I've learned everything myself and finally decided to go find out side help and i cant find anything in your lesson that talks about defining those points. I attached a quick drawing that i made for an example.. please help me, anyone that can... oh yea i forgot to say im only using a regular pencil and a Mechanical pencil, on regular copy paper if that changes any thing....

Thanks,
Devon Hazelett
