Hi. I am trying to get on the path to becoming a comic illustrator however I am having difficulties. I just want to hear how others got started and see if 1 i'm on the right path and 2 if the things and doubts I am going through are normal. I am in the process of transfering schools so I am trying to get som practice in, in the mean time but it seems like I just don't have what it takes.
Any words of wisdom?

I'm not sure about comic illustration but that genre is simply another avenue of illustration. Google illustration online and you'll come up with names of other professional illustrators. Most are more than happy to share their stories with you.
Check out the prospectus from various graphic design schools and see what they offer. In todays world, much design work in done on computers, so you need to be very familiar with programs such as Illustrator, Corel Draw, Quark, etc, etc. as well as having an art background.
