As just a few of you already know, this past weekend our friend Brian David lost his brother Steve, who was just 52 years old. Steve was a respected and distinguished member of the Toronto broadcast community and a cinematographer. He began a production company, Permanent Images, which led him to work with major news networks around the world. His good sense of humor will be fondly remembered. He leaves behind, and will be missed by, his dear friend Teresa, parents Avey and Oscar, brothers Brian and Randal, and two sons Jordan and Joel.
I know you all will join me in extending our deepest sympathies to this beloved member of our community. Brian is with his family now, but he has been checking in here from time to time.

I already said it privately, Brian, but I want also to publicly send my sincere condolences to you and your family, dear friend! This is indeed a very sad and tragic situation and no words can heal what I imagine is going through your heart. I can just give you a big hug, wish you strength, and assure you I am thinking of you in this difficult time.
Your friend,
Sonia.

Brian I know I speak for all of us .. My deepest sympathy and concern for you and your Family.. No one ever expects to lose someone so young,I can contest to that .. I too lost my oldest brother when he was 54.. It has to be hard for you. We never know exactly what is comforting and I suppose we all have our own way in getting through our losses.. I pray you have a lot of loving arms wrapped around you.. Your Drawspace Family will be wrapping ours around you too.

I sat with my loving Mother earlier and we read the comments from all of you together...she said... wow you have so many friends...please thank them for me!!! I said Mom that's really because of you....see not only did my Mother bring me into this world but she also sent me the link to Drawspace when I joined.
Some of the moderators got together and we received flowers at our home the other day with a lovely card signed.... from your Drawspace friends....tears rolled down my eyes as I read it.
Some of my very close friends, have also sent me personal e-mails expressing their sympathy and love with such beautiful words...
You have all helped comfort me through a most difficult time...I thank you all with all my heart....and a very special thanks to Ernest!
I would have liked to spend more time with my brother...our scheduled did not always allow that... we may have had a few arguments or two over the years....I mean brothers just do that some times...but I know one thing for sure..we loved each other very much.... and I am going to miss him dearly..I will cherish the moments we had together.
I love you dear Brother,
I love you all
Brian.

Brian, my friend.
It is not easy to speak, nor what to say, I can give is my support and express my sympathy.
When we are children we learn to walk and fall, laugh and cry with laughter, but not born to live with loss in our lives.
Allow me to ask that you do not like a farewell, but even as a brief, no sorrow remains forever ..., eternal is our work, our friendships won and our families.
A strong hug

So sorry. I lost my younger brother several years ago and I know what a void it leaves. Mine was only 46. But hard to lose at any age.

You have done a very nice drawing and you chose beautiful words to accompany it. I have to say, I drew comfort from it too.
