Nicely done Tannis!

hope we converge once again after this next class.. smile.gif

Wow Tannis, your portrait is amazing!! Congratulations, you should be so proud of your achievement. Even the portrait you did your first class is excellent! My first portrait resembled something close to a stick figure!! congrats again!!

Thanks dlewis... I hope we converge again too...
and katie... thank you for your kindness.. I am sure that your portrait in unit 4 will be awesome. It is amazing how much our skills improve over just a few weeks!
I will admit that I was a bit worried about the portraiture thing.... especially in Charcoal. I felt like my lines could become blurred really easily... and I'd look like oh... who knows who by the time I was done!

Oh Tannis, what a wonderful job you have done on your portrait! I think it's fantastic. Can't wait to get started on portraiture. Taking a few days off. Just finished my shoe. It's amazing to think of how far we've come in such a short time isn't it. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon these classes - and Cindy.

Thanks Barbz, I just checked your gallery... I was hoping to see your shoe! The shoe exercise was amazing, I felt like I learned so much! I totally agree with you about the classes and Cindy! A friend of mine was fortunate to have gone to Art School in London in the 60"s... she told me that she certainly didn't learn to draw with as much detail as what we are learning from the classes Cindy is teaching! Have a good rest... I look forward to seeing your portrait... I am sure that it is going to be wonderful!

Tannis, you are on the list to join in with the group you were previously with - so whoever is enrolling into perspective from that group will be with you...the group that are just about to begin portraiture on Friday, 26th June - I will let them tell you who will be continuing on into perspective with you from that group:)

Tannis, I'm trying to upload my shoe here. I have also added it to my gallery. We'll see if this works.

Thanks Cindy! I was hoping that I'd be joining my former classmates!

It's been fairly quiet here over the last few of days... everyone must be busy busy busy with their drawing. Just thought I'd write and see how everyone is going this week? As for me, I got my final grade for the shading unit... an A, so I'm absolutely thrilled with that and I've just completed my first week of the portraiture unit.

So here I am... this is me... the self- portrait that I did for the final project in unit 4... it took me about 14 hours to do... it is really hard to know when to stop fiddling!

So now I am finished until unit 5 is offered in August as there are only two from our portraiture class that have completed the unit.
So, I will be joining those that finish their portraiture class that begins on the 26th.. I am hoping that Cindy puts me in with the group that I started out with... Barbz... Capstar... Appollonia..Norma Jean.....well you know who you all are! Yea!!!!
Cheers
Tannis

Hi Capstar and hannya, Thanks for commenting on my self portrait... i can hardly wait to see yours!
KatieJ, good for you, an A is great! I will go look at your shoe!
I have been away this past week, taking a little break from work! We took our camper van and went south to Calgary, Lethbridge... visited 2 of our kids then headed over to the Mountains... Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper for a bit of hiking... and R&R... I love the mountains, so inspiring!
Hannya, next year, probably in Sept, my husband and I plan to go to Italy...
tannis
KatieJ... I went to your profile page to see your shoe! You should post it along with some of your other work... Please? I'd like to see it!
KatieJ
Thanks Tannis! Sorry, I'm still very new to this site. I'll try and upload it now smile.gif

Hi Cindy! Hello, everyone!
I've uploaded my drawings into my albums. Everyone is welcomed to take a look.
Unfortunately, I can't put the link here, because I'm a new member in this forum, so I can't insert any links or images - this is the rule. However, you still can see my albums in the gallery.

It's nice to see you all here, friends!
tannis
Hi Lynx... good to see you here! I had a look at your gallery, looking very nice indeed! How is the animation going?

Hi Tannis! Thanks! Oh, this semester I took the 3D. It's exciting! You can see some of my new films on youtube. The link is on my page, I can't put it here. Or you can find me on youtube directly. My account name there is godlynxlynx. These are the exercises I did during the course. Now it's summer vacation, so I'll have time to create something for myself - no more assignments!

Hi Godlynx... sorry it took me so long to post a reply... I just checked out your work on Youtube! Great work.. I loved your "sad" little fish... the drunk guy was excellent and the stalker... did you build the set? You are having such fun! What is next?

Hello everyone!

Shading is one of my downfalls. I have to learn patience, patience, patience and it is definitely worth it when I do take my time. I really don't know what the hurry is anyhow! ;>)

I'm taking the draw in your JPs course now and enjoying it and hope to take the rest over time.
