....... totally down with my nervs!! wacko.gif

Hi everyone!
I missed you a lot and am so happy to be home again.

Thes two days where the longest days I ever had and took me 10 years of my life!! And turned my hair into grey.

What happened?
I've got a call of my niece, she had a collapse at the dentist and now, because she is pregnant with her 2. baby, she better wanted to go into hospital. Her mom (my sister) is on Lanzarote, her friend somewhere in south of Germany - and so she needed someone to take care on my grand-niece.

Of course I said yes, not knowing what could happen when taking care of a 1,5 year old little nice girl.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaw - Millions of ants are peaceful and quiet. One little girl - *laughing* is so busy like hundred bees.
Wow, I never had a child and my niece is only 9 years younger than me so I had really no experience with sitting a baby-girl.

But now my niece is back again, everything is okay with her and I have to collect my nervs. *rofl*
My deepest respect to all mums and dads!!!

PS: Did I mention that I twotimes pickes my glasses out of the toilet? And a newspaper one time? And do you know how many pans and pots are in a small cupboard! This little devil is really 19 months, is this normal??? She is such a lovely and always smiling little girl, less crying, but she has loads of bumblebees in her backside (directly translated froma german phrase, I hope you know what I mean)

Btw, I love her *lol*

PS: I tried to edit my "Away" post, but it doesn't work......

tongue.gif tongue.gif Oh yea, that is normal! tongue.gif tongue.gif

laugh.gif LOL Martina, at least she doesn't think of herself as an artist!!! I have a 2 year old and anytime she is not supervised (like I mean you have to basically just stare at her all day, slightest look away and she is doing something she is not suppost to!!!) she is up to something. The other day I was sooo tired and decided after my older children went to school I would lay down on the couch and have a catnap, she was fine watching her favorite television show Dora the Explorer, no harm there, WRONG!!! I had just gotten my shipmen of art supplies from Blick Art Store left it on the dining room table after I opened and made sure everything was there, WELL, she found my set of acrylic paints. Meanwhile, my catnap was not a catnap, I was sooo tired I actually fell asleep and was out cold. (Wrong move on my part...) The house phone rang so she went and got it iff of the receiver and brought to me, thus waking me up. Talk about panick attache, she was covered from head to toe in RED acrylic paint. I am thinking the worse, jump up and start searching her to make sure she isn't bleeding. Never know, she knows where the silverware is and has learned from her older sibling how to push a table chair to get up on the counters in the kitchen to get what she wants. So, then I look at the clock and realize I have to be at the school in less than 45 minutes to pick middle daughter up for a dental appointment and now not only do I have to get ready but now baby girl needs a good scrubbing, ontop of a load of red paint that needs to be wiped up before it dries!! So trust me when I say I KNOW how terrible 2's are and it starts as soon as they can walk and explore!!!!
P.S.
(Thats just 1 day...lol there is still 6 more in a week...and I was only asleep for less than an hour) rolleyes.gif

If I'm guessing correctly on the meaning, I think we would say, "has ants in her pants" in American English, meaning that she doesn't still still or is constantly moving.

That sounds pretty normal for a child that age. My youngest will turn 3 yrs old in a few days. He can still be a handfull, at times.

Glad to see you back safe and sound Martina!

Oh sure - little kids are like that. I could write a book about my middle son's escapades. Suffice it to say his nickname was Atom Bomb! biggrin.gif

My sister has four kids and I have no children. Some weeks after she got her last (?) baby, I visted her fo some days. That was very exciting for me. I really feel with you.

smile.gif Martina they are horrible stories but children are what make the stories worth the while. I wouldn't change anyone of my children for the world. Each child is unique in his or hers case. My little one Patience is a very unigue individual. She has a mind of her own. I do have to say out of my four she is the most stubborn and head strong. She is basically "The Boss" or so she thinks...laugh.gif

My son is now 8 and my daughter 15 .When they are young the more noise they make the better because then you know where they are...as soon as it goes quiet and still then the trouble begins smile.gif
Venus
tongue.gif Tim...OMG...Isn't that the truth. If I don't hear Patience for a little bit I go searching her out!!! She is the worse when she is really quiet. She is either into something or she is drawing on the ways or where ever!! Thats why I said she is my future artist.. rolleyes.gif

Venus,
doesn't every child think so - and MUSTn't they think so? Becaus children are important, and of course for the parents the most important.

I love children (eho not), although I have none. It was not my decision, it is just like it is. And - after these two days I might be a little bit glad to be married without children....... wink.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif wink.gif
(I hope you know that this was a joke)

When my son was three he pulled the kitchen drawers out to make stairs so he could get to the peanut butter. He wasn't out of my sight for two minutes when I found him in the kitchen with a handful of peanut butter and the other hand full of bread.

He's 17 now blink.gif

I also have a 14 year old daughter and 20 month old daughter and I love every minute of it! wub.gif

I could not resist drawing her she is sooo cute .

Haha I saw that in the gallery and thought she was your kid or something. She is adorable.
Venus
laugh.gif LMAO Blade!! last week Patience decided she wanted the pack of gum my 9 year old, Crystal, had on top of her dresser...well just so happened the drawers to the dresser were open. This dresser mind you is far from sturdy and the way the drawers were open they looked like stairs..laugh.gif well Patience tried climbing up and then come the "BIG BOOM". I go flying cause all I hear is screaming, and she is lying underneath the dresser. She wasn't hurt at all. Luckily the top of the dresser fell on the bottom bunkbed so it didn't "land" on her. I hope she learned her lesson, but demon child is hard to scare off.... happy.gif

i have to share a story of my two youngest boys- they are 15 months apart and when they were 2 and 3 years old i was working days and hubby was working nights and like you venus he decided to catnap on the couch which in turn fell asleep and woke up to alot of giggling and laughing (which was never good when they were alone) so he got up and tip toed in the dining room to find the youngest one with a cool tools screwdriver (he got for christmas which was a big mistake another story) and was sticking it in the light socket and then would touch his brothers arm. so they both felt the shock. thank God that nothing more serious happened and now we can laugh about it. but wow what a handful those two were all the time. i still dont know how we all survived them. another time they were sneaking up to the top cabnet where i kept all the snake goodies above the stove, well they opened the stove door to crawl on it to get up on the stove to get to the cabnet and i dont know how but i heard a big crash and ran in there and all i seen was my 3 year old standing there and my two year old under the stove and all i could see was his little feet, i thought for sure when i lifted the stove i would find him crushed or something but when i lifted it he looked up at me and started laughing. i tell you what i didnt know weather to hug him or paddle his butt. cool tools-- he took all my living room furniture apart. loosened the screws anyway so when we sat on it-- it fell apart. more than once. my oldest when he was about 3 spray painted our neighbors car. and the other two smashed all her ceramic stuff. i could go on and on. those boys were something else. and i can honestly say that i miss them when they were that young. but if someone would have told me that back them i would call them a liar.

Lori,
blink.gif I can imagine the shock you must have had. Good that everything was okay except the furniture.

Paulette,
are you still alive????????? tongue.gif biggrin.gif

wub.gif Kim, wub.gif
This is so nice!!! I think the postage from the US to Germany is very high. But maybe you have it larger on PC and maybe you can send it via email or post it????

Hey Martina,
I survived. I had a lot of help this camp, so it was a lot of fun. We have a lot of parents volunteering this year, that makes it so much easier. When I first started helping out I was the only one in the kitchen. It could be very exhausting. Now we have as much fun as the kids.
