Greetings everyone. I was wondering what everyone thinks about photos that are altered. Is this considered art? Do you consider this a talent as well? I would like to hear from you!!!

If you makes you happy creating it, if it creates an emotional response in those who look at it.. if it make you money all the better.. is it art.... of course it is art! Art is whatever you want it to be.. art is an overused ambiguous word that has so many meaning it is really kind of silly. But I am no expert.. I think a well timed and delivered redneck joke is art!.. Geterdone!

first there is no example ...second this subject has been beaten to the ground lol art comes in all forms ..some people have a art for choosing words just the right way to culm a person or rile them up ..some people have a art for choosing colors and laying out design ...in almost anything you do you can find art related to it .
Talent comes in the same way ...many can be talented in many different things . When it comes to art and talent really for me there is no question ..if you creat it then it is art ..maybe not everyone will like it buit its concidered a art .. and if you do it well then I would concider you talented in that art .

Looks like I'm the only one to vote so far. As it was multiple choice, I ticked all the boxes. Because they are all right. You can do this and come up with an exceptional pice of art. or you could come up with a mess! If you ar ehappy with the results, then it's an artistic achievement. If others think it's cool, then you have the answer!

Interesting topic, as Kim mentions it's certainly not the first time this sort of question has been raised here on Drawspace. I think it depends on how far you want to go with this question, if you think of a photographer is he not considered a artist, if you think of editing or producing film is that not also considered a form of art, but if you take a photo and add computer made captions or enhancement with photoshop by the push of one button, I would consider that to contain very little skill or talent.

I think that it is to some extent an art. Because for the creation of such photos you must be able to watch and see. You need to be able to see the beauty of photography, reveal it and show to others. Sometimes it is not very easy to do.
