ok, if you need some inspiration for drawings my suggestion is just post on other peoples forums and ask what they like. I inspired one man to do a volleyball drawing. laugh.gif and it looks really good. so if you're in need of inspiration just ask around and pick something you think would look good as a drawing.

I'm open to any suggestions and I have a lot of suggestions my self. (well sort of)

Here is my favorite bird that I drew last night: These birds are so funny to watch as they steal the pecan nuts I leave out for the squirrels. I am not sure what they do with them because I don't think they can open them. But not sure about that. Really gets the squirrels' dander up though....LOL.

This guy is one of my favorite artists, John Banovich. He does incredibly lifelike paintings of animals--life sized, no less!
Calvin
Wow, Thanks Isshinart, this guy is awesome. I love animals.

Thank you Brenda for giving me the oppertunity to share it with others in here .. your work is outstanding and i have enjoyed looking through it and have learnt a thing or two whilst looking .. I have found that art is a never ending lesson always something new just round the corner.. and you are never too old or to young to learn .. its just a fantastic way you express how you feel as well.. and it dosnt have to make sence to any one just as long as you know what its about

I find music inspires me the most. I listen to a powerful piece and I just have to draw what it conjures up in my head. I never develop my ideas, though, I just have a sketchbook filled with ideas and scenes that I lose interest in once the music has faded. I think it's mainly because I can't get things how I imagine them. Once I get that confidence, perhaps. I'll stick with drawing people for now

"so if you're in need of inspiration just ask around and pick something you think would look good as a drawing."

Ok,you ask. This is something I have always wanted to do but have as yet started.Really I don't believe I'm good enough to do the idea justice. You start with a frame wall mirror, add a hand with pencil as on the cover of Brenda's book"Drawing for Dummies"then draw the reflection of yourself in the mirror. In other word, instead of seeing your reflection, you are drawing it.Of course the face don't have to be your or a complete face 'cause you are still drawing it.I would love for Brenda to do this but I know she is a busy person. It would be something to write home about though."please, please, please"But serious,if anyone think they could do this idea justice it would make a old man day to see it come to life.
