Friends, who think on drawing using photos like reference, sometimes I feel certain culpability and I feel that I do something that is not very correct, is as if to the eyes of other artists this was a sin

Adolfo, my darling man, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using a photo as a reference!! A very many great artists do it all the time. There will always be the kind of person who thinks of themselves as purists and who will poo poo this method - good luck to them I say! laugh.gif laugh.gif

What matters Adolfo is not where your reference starts from... it's what you do with it. I can guarantee that three people will start from a traced line drawing - one will make of mess of it, the other will do the bare minimum and leave it flat and soulless and the third will end up with a work of art that is totally original, individual and unique!

And you Adolfo are that third person! Your art is totally awe inspiring. I feel so proud and privileged to know you just one little bit.

Farfallina thanks, your words give a breath to my restlessness, perhaps he is a little late to make that question but ground to find people who do that question to me, I have painted and drawn of natural the models I even have many done sketches or squecht live, but sometimes they make me feel complex, to my age must not feel it and have a clear and safe idea, thanks again.

There is no one that could look at your art and not think it was unique. You have your own style that you bring to each piece. I will add to what Rose says, just look at the challenge week pictures and you will see how different everyone interprets the photos. No two are exactly alike. march4, feb25, jan21, oct.1.

Hola

Rafael
