Scorch
Hi, I registered a couple of days ago, and thought I'd drop in and say hello. I like the site this far, and hope that I will continue to do so.

I'm 18 years old, turning 19 in the summer. I live in Sweden and will soon start going to University, studying math and programming for five years.

I don't really draw that often, even though I really like to draw. I don't know why, but sometime I just 'feel' like drawing, and then I do it, but often only one picture. It almost feels as though I can't draw when I don't have that feeling. It feels as though I don't get motivated enough, and the result often turns out to something that I don't like.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and hope that I will stay. happy.gif

smile.gif Hi Scorch!! Welcome to Drawspace! I think alot of artist go through the stage of not feeling like drawing or only drawing when they have the feeling. I went through years of not wanting to draw to getting the feeling to every once in awhile. Then it hit me to just want to keep doing it all of the time. I have always been into art though, so I know with others their feelings may vary. You have found a wonderful site for inspiration though. Everyone here is great and will welcome you with open arms in any area you may find you need advice in. Feel free to post some of your drawings you have done and participate in the challenges we have every week. If you need anything just ask. Someone is always around to lend a helping hand. wub.gif

Welcome to drawspace. I hope you continue with your art. It will help you in most anything else you pursue. Growth in any form is usually a struggle. I think I understand about having to be inspired from within. I've kept my art to mostly a 'profitable hobby'. But there are things you can do that will increase your inspiration, and neglecting these things might diminish it." biggrin.gif

Thank you everyone for your welcome, it's really a nice community indeed. The thing I like the most about it is the possibility to post comments on other peoples pictures. Really lifts your spirit up a bit every time someone posts a nice comment for you. smile.gif

Oh, I don't mind. As long as you don't ask me for my full address (I've gotten somewhat paranoid throughout the last few years). smile.gif

I live on Värmdö, an about 30 minutes car ride east of Stockholm, out in the woods near the sea. Where were you when you visited Sweden?
