Sorry mods, feel free to delete my post if it's out of bounds, but I was asked to create an event, i've been trying to post a topic, and I keep getting dumped back to the main forum when I do it. Strangely enough, I can create short topics like this, but my event just dies when I hit post. Considering the last topic about how the board has been slowing down and possibly "dying," I wonder if some of that isn't due to tech problems.

Anyone else having this same issue?

UPDATE: Seems to be happening when I post a URL link, once I took that out, the post worked perfectly. Hopefully this info will help someone (now watch the board go crazy!)

When I posted a URL tag in a reply, it nuked the entire topic! Be careful...

I'm not sure why you were having problems with this. I removed the extra posts for this topic. So I'm hoping you have saved the information and can post it again.

I started a thread last night and added a link without a problem. Perhaps it was some glitch in the system last night. I'm not sure.

I think the link problem only effects new posters. So you would not have any trouble with it Jeanette but Sandworm might... as well as all other new or relatively new posters.

You can not post URL until you have passed a certain number of posts. This is one of the temporary measures to guard against spam.

BTW Sandworm - you can still post a url but you would need to merely copy it and not make it into a hyperlink. People can still copy that and paste it into their browser to follow it through.

Duane, I am sorry about that. I asked you to start the thread and forgot to mention myself that being as how you are a newer member that until you have a certain amount of post that you can not add links.

Just so people know, I asked Sandworm to make a thread for the digital artist out there that were interested in digital art challenges. I have looked through his gallery and website and I think he has a great tallent and would love to learn some of the programs and such on the digital tablets. So he has kindly agreed to come up with a digital challenge for me and others with what he knows on the matter...
