Hi laurie sissonsI am sorry to hear your plight. Keep fighting it is the best rout out of stroke. We are sure now that the brain does retrain other neurons to do the work of the ones that died. But the therapy needs to be kept at a high rate to accomplish that so fight hard. It is not far different than training your other hand to do the things you want to do. I suggest you try my free course to retrieve you art abilities It is a simple eye hand coordination exercise. and couldn't hurt to try it. You may even train your other hand to draw. Go for it you have everything to gain. Try to regain the injured one first. It can be done, but you have to want it more than even your doctors. just don't give up. Do ask God what He wants in all of this. You will be surprised what may come of it.
A BRIGHTER DAY
Then will be a brighter day
A day of gladsome singing
And we shall hear our Saviour say
Come your trophies bringing
No longer must you cry and wait
Come enter now the pearly gate
All tears I'll wipe away
Then we'll Join with heavens full chorus
Ten million voices strong
Glad praises to our Father o're us
Who triumphed over wrong
That heavenly city all God's Sons
Blessed glorious holy ones
That He made ready for us
There sin shall never more annoy
True love forever sharing
Peace which nothing can destroy
Our Lord, all heaven adoring
Earthly toils and cares laid by
Never more will loved ones die
And we shall ever dwell in Joy
