I thought she would settle for seeds and an occasional bite of cracker, cookie, chip, or pretzel, or veggie was enough. She is so demanding.
Mine are all in the mail system. Went out today. Everyone has done a good job.
Thanks Tania for the compliment.
I'm going out with the art group tomorrow. Will probably melt before I get home. It's in the hundreds this week. Sweating just sitting at the desk. We are starting at 8 am and they hope to finish by 10 so we can get back under the fans, coolers, and AC. Going to a small park near an art gallery where there will at least be shade. Sure will be hot getting back in my car to come home tho.

Got a lovely Bull Finch from Steve this morning. Thanks a lot. He also sent me an extra - it's a blackbird in a dark night, but I'm afraid to say that he made a bit of a mistake and gave the bird three legs and two tails. I'll just blame the glands!

I've got my second bird- it is a delicately drawn wren from Sandra. Thanks a lot! It is, too, like a little poem.

Actually that should be Steve,s lin. Then i got from blank I can't find it! now I have to look but it was from Sveta(is that right) the Pinocio but not disney and it is fab ,so detailed. But I couldnt figure out which was the bird? I still was thinking birds not childhood.I will try to load it because on the othe side that is what they are talking about..Thanks all 3 that I got they are perfect.I hope we are all labelling their pics so we know what kind they are joanna

Nancy what are you planning to do with the bear if you find him? I wouldn't want to find him in the dark (of course I wouldn't want to find him in the light either). Better be careful. He may be trying to find you too.

Only take his picture.

There's a very good chance I'll never see one again this summer, they are terribly reclusive and avoid contact with people. We have black bears here, they aren't mean like grizzlies, but still, I don't think I'll run up and pet one!

Gretchen, I love your sense of humour that comes out in your art!
Wonderful birds that everyone is getting! I just got a Yellow Warbler from Carol and he is lovely as you can see:
Click to view attachmentI have been watching some of our little birds arguing over the blooms that are out - we have some gorgeous red headed chats as well as the little superb wrens and a wonderful array of finches.......if only they would sit still for longer than 5 seconds I might get a little sketch done!

I am glad you like the cards that you got....was a little worried about the feather, not being a whole bird, but I had one on my desk that I had picked up (also have gumnuts, dried leaves etc etc etc...........and I just started fooling around and loved the way it turned out, so I am glad that you like it too Norma.
Am glad you like the cocky too Steve, I was trying to some other birds that blended into the background but I only seemed to get it with the pelican and that cockatoo.
I love that you can see a new method in a magazine or in another person's work and try and get something like it working in your own......these ATC's are so great for those experiments. If they don't work I don't feel like I am "wasting" a lot of resources, and when they do work it is great! But I have to say that I sketch the next idea on the back of my failed ATC's so I never waste them. Now if only I made my own paper I would truly be a recycler!
