Hey all, Just finished a new piece, 8 x 10 Graphite, I used a stump and leather to blend with on this one...used 4H, HB, 3B and 5B... Hope you like.
Cheers.

Paul, I think your horse's eye is beautiful. I love partial pictures like that where the whole thing of the subject isn't all used. Great job!!

Thx all, glad you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed doing it...I used leather for blending this time, seemed to work quite well...the mactac was invaluable for creating the hair on the left... It was kinda freaky however, cuz the eye seemed to be staring at me all the time LOL

I agree! Sometimes just a detail like an eye is powerful, yet beautiful!

Hi
I love your drawing, it appears to jump off the page.
Hope you don't mind me asking..what is a mactac?
Thanks Andrea

mactac = pasty stuff you use to hang posters on your wall without using thumbtacks
In UK, they use a product called BluTac, in Canada it isnt readily available (I havents seen it anyways), so I researched it, and tried the mactac, works wonderfully, and a fraction of the cost of getting BluTac here!!
As well, only use the WHITE, as the others MAY leave color marks on your sketch.
Cheers.
Paul
