Full Version: Bandwidth to share

Okay here's the situation,
I have Premium hosting pack with one of the best French internet hosts, it was a free offer, sign up during December 2005 and get 3 years free hosting (so that leaves two years and a bit left) with 2Gb of space and 20gb bandwidth/month... Free... So I signed up, thinking I'd make a website later...

I am currently using 60mb of my 2Gb, and an average monthly bandwith of... 5 mb? And that's an average, I haven't used it since January...

Point is, I could easily share some bandwidth if you're really tight on it, set up a sub-account for drawspace. It might take a while to set a quota for it but I'm sure I can lend you 15Gb/month, either until I suddenly need it or the offer is over?

If you're interested send me an e-mail/PM.

Bobly

PS: Yeah I want to keep some bandwidth because my folks are renting a chalet in switzerland, they'd like a website for it.

Thank you Bobly!

I'm gonna ask our Web Team to answer this one! I'm just the artist here; they really run this show! (Grin)

However, I do want to say thank you so very much for being such a sweetie! We seem to be gathering the most wonderful people from all over the world right here in this forum!

The only thing I know about the website is the info I receive from my amazing techies. We use a LOT of bandwidth! Some days are slow and others are crazy! For example, in the past 14 hours we’ve had 434198 hits, and 16027 unique visitors (most of whom downloaded files).

I'm not sure any of this even has anything to do with bandwidth? blink.gif Where are all those tech geeks? wink.gif

Geez, Brenda!

If I remember right from my techie classes discussing the Internet and how it was taking the world by a storm with its doubling every so many minutes. If you keep going the way you are, you may surpass even the Internet. Just think a drawing pad in every home! Hey, Bill Gates had a vision.

You are doing terrific, and without all that advertising junk!

Your offer is most appreciated smile.gif

However, I don't think our current setup would benefit from splitting the downloads up between multiple sources - and more importantly, Brenda would lose control of her copyrighted lessons.

In order to get enough bandwidth to actually remove the wait time on lessons we'd need access to at least 3000-5000 gigs of additional bandwidth each month - and a few new servers to actually be able to pump out that much data sad.gif

Should lurk a bit more before I post.
Apologies.
