I take this time to offer an apology to anyone that was offended my the comments I made in my post about mine and my wife wedding anniversary today.(WIP..One of My Favorite Cowboys) It was a joke ,,,pure and simple. My wife and I both thought I was sharing a cute little story I made up.I love my wife,,I would give my life for her,,I don't drink beer,,don't run around with wild women,,,I didn't take her to McDonald,,never intended to,,,and at 120 pounds;(as you can see in one of my drawing of her)I don't believe she need to drink diet-coke!!So help me, how anyone took what I said as anything but a joke is beyond me!!But if you was one of those people that got offended and PM one of the Moderator to cause her to delete some of my comments;I'm sorry!!But I have to wonder how you didn't get offended by Big-foot peeping in a window looking like he had his hands on his privates or all the nude pictures that are posted here of men and women with their private area showing (no offend to the people that did post these,it was only art)or when members disagree with the owner of this fine site on whom could post drawings on her site.
But anyway,,I have enjoyed my time here and it break my heart to see such a fine site taken over by someone but the owner. But until Brenda take back control of her web-site,,no one will delete any more of my comments.I feel like this deleting was a personal thing and it worked.

Ted - I can't believe that sth like this happened.
And I understand really nothing!
What you've written was nothing bad or bothering or whatever. It was funny and humorous and I had to laugh aout it.
I think this must have been a misunderstanding or a mistake. Everyone knows you are a hearty person.
Hey Ted, don't go away - it was one time that sth like this happened (or not?) and I think if this was NO misunderstanding, next time the mod will ask first and make everything clear.
Come on Ted - we all would miss you so much.

This is a little advice from the one person in the world who is most like you and understands how you feel better than anyone else. I would say, first of all, I see from the other posts that a lot of people would like for you to stay, and second, if someone doesn't want you here, then stay just to bug them.

Duh, I guess I must have my blond wig on today - I checked out the thread and read all the posts and I don't see anything wrong any where on there that would cause you to leave. What was deleted? The funny post that you made about your wife and McDonalds etc was just funny, thats all.
Perhaps the mods deleted it by accident while trying to delete spam? Is that possible?
Could someone let me in on what is going on with this? I sure wouldn't want you to leave the forum over this, Ted. You are a real asset to the drawspace community.

Well Ted, I have to admit, I found your posts rather funny...and I could gather that this is your sort of humor, based on your sig line...
I suggest that you dont leave, based on the facts that many here want you to stay, including myself...We have lost too many good people lately, people whos experiences will no longer be felt here, which is a crying shame!
Let the dust settle and I hope that if it was indeed a person or persons who took offense to your humor, they will be men/women enough to PM you and explain their views...
This site cant really take another hit like this, honestly...lets work it out, smooth any ruffled feathers, and move on...

I have great respect for the other moderators and Brenda, and I will be honest in saying I have only learned of this moments ago, I am generally one to mind my own business. I often wonder me wanting to be a cartoonist if some of my humor I use could ever offend anyone. It is never intended to...I would be deeply hurt if it did ...I only hope and try to put a smile on some one's face or try to make them laugh...Ted you are one of those people around Draw space that have a way of doing just that. You always put a smile on my face....given me some very happy moments here and have also been a great inspiration to me..... I would be deeply upset if you were to leave.....so please please ...don't even think of it!...sincerely , Brian.

Ted,
Although I rarely check in the last period, due to lack of time, it's sad to see quite often that people want to leave.
You just cannot. Take a break, sing a song, drink a beer and come again

! See how easy that was ?

WOW!! Well I guess I have to tell a little white lie here! But I had to come back to say this.I never intend to leave this great site unless Brenda tell be to then she will have to block my address. I just meant I was going to quit posting or commenting until some changes comes about. There was no misstakes or misunderstanding in the deleting of my jokeing with Rose! I wasn't going to post this reply from the Mod. who did the delete to keep down any more hard feeling,,but after reading all of above comments I feel I need to.
I felt post number 7 was very degrading about your wife ...but I did not delete as it was not in the same style as the post I deleted ....Rose simply said keep it up ....and you in your post was talking about a cream you use on the male parts ... totaly uncalled for ....it offened me and others that pmed me to go to that thread and read ....so I am sorry to say ladies man or not you need to keep those comments to yourself . thanks in advance
The part she deleted didn't say anything about any cream or any male parts,,Rose said "keep it up "and I replied "why would I want to do that and that the TV ad said after 4 hours you have to go to the doctor". Now that was some bad stuff wasn't it??Woops,,there I said it again! Bob,,This it your idea,,not mine!!
I have been gone all day and when I came here just now I couldn't believe all the heard warming support I seen. You will never know now you made me feel. Thanks again for all the support and comments,,Ted

I've been in forums and on the Internet long enough to learn at least two things. One: If I post anything on a public forum I risk offending someone somewhere. And two: If I read something or see something that offends me, I have a mouse and keyboard and I can use them. I don't have to respond to something that I don't like or don't agree with. It takes too much energy to attempt to force my opinions and my will on the world. So I don't even try.

Well ...I just signed in and came into this ....all of you are kind to support Ted as I never ask that he leave .. it was me who wrote him and I did so because I got two emails asking me to look at the post ...so i did and I did think his comments about him wife were not funny joking or not but I told the two who emailed me I would not be able to delete that post ...but the second post yes i felt he took a simple comment like " Keep it up " and turned it into something it was not intended for ..that was the only thing I deleted . We have had trash all over this forum I along with the others spent much time deleting I personaly felt the comment was not in good taste .
I stand up and say who I am as I really do not want someone taking the blame for my actions ...if I had to do it over and I had complaints I would still delete it .
I will not threaten to leave as i think that is done for attention or will I not continue to do my MOD responsibilities but if brenda feels that what I did was wrong I am sure she will pm me or remove me from the MOD list .

I hope we can all put this down to fun and games.

Not wishing to appear more innocent than I am I have to state that my remark was meant to be taken the way it was. So if anything, the first offending post was mine.
If people were offended I too apologise and I feel they had every right to complain if that is how they felt. However I also feel that before a post is deleted the writer should be contacted and asked to modify it or delete it him/herself. After all there is a difference between an anonymous spammer and a regular contributor.
Ted is well known and he has both a PM and an email address on this site. The latter is how I contacted him to apologise if my remark led him into this sad state of affairs.
Moderating is by no means an easy task but courtesy is the duty of everyone.

Moderating is no easy task....I found this out fast as I have only been a moderator a short while. I was honoured Brenda asked me to help out....... We are generally individuals who's job is to look after the running of forums from day to day....We have the ability to edit , or delete posts, move or split topics in the forums we moderate. Generally we are here to help out and prevent members or people from going to far off topic or posting abusive or offensive material....I find this very hard to distinguish at times... I think especially with humor....I agree , not an easy job....but we try and I respect all.

Well Rose the deleting of the post was not focused on your comment ...Keep it up ....all must have assumed you ment keep up the good work being ted is a wonderful artist.
It has not been the habit of any moderator to contact the offending post writter and ask anything of them ..its our job to keep it out of this forum ..I was simply doing my job as it was offensive to some .
I do not wish to cause problems or make anyone feel bad...I would just like the conversations to stay clean and have no sexual undertones.

I am not in a position to argue about that since unfortunately this site, unlike most others, does not have a Terms of Service agreement. The only Conditions and Terms there are relate to copyright but there is nothing that regulates the use of the Board itself.
In the absence of these I was merely invoking principles of natural justice - namely, the presumption of innocence and the right to a fair hearing. Even serial killers have these rights, at least they do in my country. Also, I was under the impression that there is a distinction between a bot and a bona fide member. But it seems I was wrong.
I live and learn.

The difficult job as a moderator is - for me and my understanding -not only to keep a forum clean (and what is clean?) but to lead a discussion, to be an adjustor.
Means in this case to look at the forum and find out which post has to be deleted and which one is okay.
That's what it makes so difficult. - We all have a different sight on things.
If a moderator would delete every post that is complained by another - maybe next time you have to delete a figure drawing because there are nudes. Maybe even your own...
Kim, you are doing a hard job and you do it well. Things happen.

Well ladies ...Rose I will not argue about this .. its done and I have done what I felt was right if you have any problems please let Brenda know your concerns .
Martina there is alot of nudity in the galleries I do not delete them I was ask to moderate the forum and the content inside ....we just welcomed a 11 year old guest for goodness sakes ladies come on what I did I feel is the right thing period ! I do not care to go on about this ..it is way off the subject of art .
