She might be able to change it, depending on what kind of Internet service she has. If she has a cable modem, turning the modem off and leaving it off overnight might do the trick. But somehow that doesn't strike me as a good explanation for the problem.

smile.gif Well I know I sent a PM the other day to another member and waited for a reply to never recieve one. I rewrote the person because I saw that they were on Drawspace and was told they never recieved it. So I have no clue what sort of technical difficulties are arising. Hope it gets sorted out soon. rolleyes.gif

Aw, thats so sad! lol
Farfallina
Pheww!!! Finally!!

I don't know what happened, then or now... but finally I can post again!!

Thank you so much for all your help. smile.gif

Edited to say - I just looked at your last comment in the gallery Ernest. Thank you so much and thank you Brenda too.

I'm no longer gagged now - so I'm deleting the picture in the gallery.biggrin.gif

Ernest Friedman-Hill
Yay! We missed hearing from you!
Farfallina
Thank you so much Ernest for starting this thread. Your help was immense and greatly appreciated.

It's a terrible thing Rose

Drawspace withdrawal ...and they don't even have a nicotine type patch for it either smile.gif

We could hear you outside the castle walls but apparently having problems lowering the drawbridge .

Glad you are back. smile.gif

kim1963
So what was the problem ??? in case any others run into it .
Farfallina
Oh yes Tim, it's not fun at all!

I described my problem in an email to Joanie and part of which she posted on Wednesday. Click here. I also wrote in greater detail to Admin to alert them of the situation but unfortunately I never got a reply.

OH and BTW - if the same thing happens or is happening to others they would have no way of making it known unless they have someone's private email or, like me, still have access to post in the gallery and they do something drastic like I did yesterday in an attempt to attract someone's attention.
kim1963
Well I hope it will not happen again .. you did not say what the problem was ? do you know or did it just fix itself ?
Farfallina
Kim - I did describe the problem I was having several times. But for the record I will do so again. Every time I hit "add reply" the page with the box where you type the post never loaded. It was as if my request was lost in cyberspace. I could still post in the gallery, but that was it.

I don't know why this happened - though I would dearly love to know - as much as I don't know what made it go away... although from what Ernest said, there might have been some intervention from Brenda or someone else.

Like you, I hope it will not happen again.
Venus
biggrin.gif Rose, well I am glad your problem is fixed. I have no idea what happened and why you couldn't post in the threads but do know that it had to be either the site itself or something to do with the administrators because us moderators do not have anything that can stop another member from making a post. All we can do is delete post, pin post, delete a thread, or we can move it (meaning unpin a post) thats it. I know in chatrooms on aol some of the Host and Guides they have on aol can gag members and suspend their chats if they are out of line in public chatrooms, but we don't have those power's...LOL. Not that I feel we need them because Drawspace is 100% better than a chatroom on aol. The people are friendly and great, and the art is fantastic. Plus, your problem seemed to be fixed after admin finally got involved, so I am sure it had to be the site. wub.gif

Venus I never suggested that or even for a moment considered it a possibility. Thank you for bringing it up and making that clarification. smile.gif
Venus
wub.gif Rose, I know you didn't hun I just wanted to clarify incase someone else didn't know. Incase, that new people may have thought maybe us mods could have had something to do with it. Sorry, If I made it sound like I made you think we did or you were suggesting we had something to do with it, because I wasn't. blush.gif
kim1963
Thank you Venus for clearing that up ...I was going to mention all that but I think its better coming from you .

"there might have been some intervention from Brenda or someone else."

I think it was that quote that lead ..I know me to believe that you gave it some concideration .

thank you again Venus for clearing me of the problem Rose had posting . smile.gif
Farfallina
I hope to clear this once and for all ... and this is the last time I shall be posting on this thread.

I only mentioned "Brenda or someone else" because Ernest said quite publicly in the gallery that he had PMed a link to my appeal in the gallery to Brenda and he assured me that help was on the way. So I assumed either Brenda or someone else at her request had intervened to clear up my problem.

All that I said all along in this matter has been crystal clear and I assure you I never lead anyone to believe anything.
kim1963
Oh Rose hun dont worry ...nothing needs to be cleared .. I dont think anyone has harsh feeling about anything smile.gif
Farfallina
That's fine by me. But there is nothing I value more than my integrity. I resent insinuations and having falsehoods attributed to me be it in public or in private.

I hope this matter is now closed.... it has been a very enlightening experience!
kim1963
Rose you are letting this get to you hun ....dont its not worth it smile.gif I will close this thread so no more comments can be made that could be hurtful .
