Hello, Everyone!! This is the same thread as before, but the other one was too long, so I decided to close it and start fresh with a new one. The thread is intended for us to show of recently completed work for praises without the critique. I hope to see lots of new and wonderful pictures here like the last thread!!

Friday, I was out on a sales call and stopped at a roadside table for lunch. I saw this and thought it would make a great picture, but I didn't have my sketchpad with me. This morning, I broke out my sketchpad and drew it up.

Blade thats an awesome job for remembering that picture in your head. I do that alot as well see scenes and want to draw them when I dont have my camera but then forget about them. Wish I could remember half of them.

Very nice blade, particularly since you did it from memory.
Here is something I started working on last Thursday and finished this afternoon.
Frida Kahlo's self portrait. Prismacolors on Stonehenge paper 9x12

Rose, another great one....love the vivid colors and the effect of the color scraping on the leaves on the right. This created a wonderful effect. I think you have captured her beautifully. Great work!

Rose, beautiful job!! I love it.

Ok here is my watercolor and ink drawing, FINISHED FINALLY!!! LOL I forgot how hard it was to do details in ink and though it isn't my best I definately want to try another one soon. This was my first attempt since I was in 10th grade in High School. So lets just say its been a very long time, but I am happy with it at the moment. Some of the picture was cut out due to my scanner not being big enough for the full picture but mostly on the sides is where it is missing.

Woooooooow Rose,
phantastic job!! I love it. I like it more than the original.
Venus,
I was right - this picture, now finished, is beautiful! I like this combination WC and ink very much.

Thanks Martina and Kim for the compliments on my last picture. I enjoyed doing it so much I decided to try another one this time using even more ink, like the WHOLE background..(think next time I will use a paint brush!!). This one is really multi-media, its a combination of watercolors, ink and colored pencils. I really enjoyed doing it and am quite satisfied with the results, although my scanner isn't big enough to get the full picture and I can't find my charger for my digital camera!! So here is the best I could get of it with the scanner. The picture is a 10 by 13.

Rose you might remember the reference I used for this one. I showed it to you awhile back ago in one of your threads and finally found the time to do it!!

I spent more time on this drawing than I ever have before; about eight hours total, I think. The reference was composed from three separate photos of the children. These are my friend Gregg's kids.

Great composition. The kids look great and so happy.
The extra time paid off. You have a superb drawing there. Well worth to be framed. I like it a lot.
Don't show this to your friend if you don't want to see a grown up man cry.

Hey Kim,
I just had to say that your daughter is very good. I would be proud of her too. Plases tell her she is very good. I just wish I keep up on my art when I was younger. My Mom is where I get my talent. One day she will know how good she is. Daisybug

here is my other daughter kellie ..she is six feet 2 in. and 13 years old lol I know she is tall .. well this is the look I get when I bother her while she is on the phone ...she was suppose to be cleaning her room lol .

Kim, awesome job on Kellie's picture!! I took your advice last night and decided to go and get out of the house and go out with the girls, which turned into a party at another friends house. She had a computer so I saw it last night but couldn't leave you a comment because I couldn't remember my password off hand for drawspace and it wouldn't let me type anything as a guest..LOL.

I thought I'd share a drawing with you that was part of an exhibit I was in a few weeks ago. The drawing is called The Artist's Cat and exhibited with the Artists Association's Spring Show. The drawing sold and last week I was informed that the Realist Artist's Association had named it Best of Show. I was unable to attend the award ceremony and will pick up my award this week.
Its good to have affirmation that I'm still going in the right direction.

Kim, I think your picture is very pretty. ^__^
I like the "dark" of the picture, which actually makes it a lot brighter in a weird kind of way. It is a very lovely picture.
I just want to reach out and touch the petals and feel their softness.
What did you use? It looks like chalk to me, but of course, I can't ever guess what tools were used from picture to picture.
