Won't someone please write me a song parody?
I've had this idea for a song parody in my head for a couple years now. Every now and again I search Google in hopes that someone with some musical ability has come up with the same idea and run with it. So far, no luck.
The song is, "Weed With Willie" by Toby Keith. Toby sings about his experiences with a certain smoking herb on Willie Nelson's tour bus after a show. The refrain of the song goes, "I'll never smoke weed with Willie again!" (search YouTube, you'll find several examples).
I came up with the parody idea after seeing the Lord of the Rings movies. The parody refrain goes something like this: "I'll never smoke pipe-weed with Gandalf again!"

Here are some pictures of the little one who is taking up my time right now. This is my female Bouvier, she is 8 weeks old. We are still discussing names for her. She looks like a little ankle biter right now but that will change rather quickly. As you can see, she already is fighting the lead.

Hi Paulette!
Thanky for the photos!! She is so sweet and she looks beautiful. Bouviers are kind dogs - and large... it seems you love large dogs (I mean Bob).....
Do you have to use a name with a special intitial? I don't know hoow this is handled in US but I think it's the same everywhere - the breeder mostly give the dogs names in alphabetical order.
But your new friend - hm - she somehow looks like a Frida....

hey nicole good to hear from you again. you have fun on your holiday. i havent had one in ages either. i had the worst week of my life too. i could use a getaway to get my head on straight. i cant believe i got through training with the week i had but maybe thats what got me through. between that and my art. thanks for the compliments on the portraits. i really like them too. the one i am working on now i think is turning out pretty good. i would love to see you join in on the figure drawing class. there is alot of new faces here on drawspace. i do miss the old ones too. that is so cool that you have your own art space. i use my kitchen table. the light is better in here. maybe someday i will get my own space too.
paulette what a cutie pie. she is adorable, my dog is two and he still hates the lead but we dont use it very often. he listens very well most of the time. stays in our yard and we take him to local fairgrounds where he can run and run. he loves it. he smiles all the time when he goes there.

She does seem to be a sweet dog. Today we were teaching her to get a ball. Of course right now she is trying to chew everything except what I have placed out for her.
Yes Martina they go by the alphabet, they are on the letter G. So far we have Gracie and Gigi, for G names. Then we have Lucy, as in "Lucy, you have some 'splaining to do". Also Princess Penelope the 63rd and WD short for Wide Load. Ah the choices!
Diekzfailz, always interested in seeing others pride and joys.
Lori, sorry you had a hard week. I hope things will get better. It's great to have a place to let the dogs run. I have one right out my back door, but from this point until fall it gets too buggy to use. So they have to be good on lead as well as off around here.

Hi, everbody!!!!! Sorry, I know it's been a wee bit. I won't be able to pop in at all over the next several weeks as my twin sister has been diagnosed with cancer and will be having surgery at the end of the month. After she comes out of the hospital and we know she's okay I will be going on vacation. We've had reservations for several months . With all of this going on I won't be back for a visit until around the 2nd week of June.
Paulette,
I love your new baby!!! I vote for Gracie...that's my sister's nick name.
hehehehe.... catch up with you all later!

Laura, so sorry to hear about your sister, I will definitely keep her in my prayers. My neighbor, that I've known all my life is a very active man in his early 80's has just been diagnosed with lung and throat cancer. His in inoperable and I think he has refused chemo. He works as a heat/air serviceman even at his age, and has always had a big garden, just very active in lots of things. It's sad to see him so weak now.
My daughter just got married 3 weeks ago and is expecting a baby is October. She will also graduate from high school on my anniversary June 8th. We will be married 21 years in June.
By the way, Laura, I have twin girls that are 12yrs old. They look alot alike, but their personalities are like night and day! And, I can't tell you about my 3 girls without mentioning my son, our little terror! Boys are so different!!

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY!!

Hello Everyone, I know I said Happy Mother's Day to all of the mommy's here in another thread yesterday in a short visit online, But I wanted to say it again even though its late now.

And thanks Martina!! I had a wonderful day yesterday. Had my parents and siblings over for the day and a nice bbq (of course I had to cook though..lol). Needless to say my whole weekend was busy!! This weekend is going to be worse I am working for Gloworks again, selling Glowing products in Detroit for our annual Detroit Hoedown. I am really excited though because there are suppost to be alot of country singers I like playing there. Let's just hope that I don't have too much fun and actually make some money.

Other than that should have a mild week except tomorrow. My daughter Tuesday, turns 8 tomorrow on tuesday..LOL. She is gettin harrassed about that and her name alot lately, poor dear, but its cute. How did everyone else's day and weekend go???

My weekend was good, but hectic. We worked like crazy getting the house in order because we had our mothers over for supper on Sunday evening. Of course, I had to go to the store to get everything, then cook! My husband cooked steaks on the grill and I made the kids help with the rest

and that was the face I got!!!

Anyway, it turned out very nice and the kids and my husband washed dishes and cleaned the kitchen. I have been married almost 21 years and I don't think his hands have ever touched any dishwater on purpose

Miracles never cease!! Hope everyone has a great week ahead! Elizabeth
PS: Happy Birthday to your daughter Venus!!

Happy B-day Tuesday.

Laurie, I'm so sorry you had to give her up, that is so sad and unfair

. My little cat has had a really bad cold, pneumonia or something. Anyway, her breathing was so labored that after spending the day in the vets office on IV's and oxygen we thought we were going to have to have her put down. But Friday AM about 6:45 she starting giving birth. After the kittens came, I took them away and bottle fed them for a day to let her rest and now she has taken to them and is nursing. She also is eating, which she didn't do or 3 days and she acts alot better. So, I guess even though they're little animals, they still pull at our heart strings just like our children. Sorry about your kitty. She looks so cute!

Hi guys, I have a question that has nothing to do with drawing. Does anyone have Restless Leg Syndrome and/or taken the drug Clonazepam? I have RLS and a have just started taking this medication and am dozing off when driving, I feel like I'm in a daze all the time, and quite a few other symptoms. Has anyone else had this experience?

Elizabeth
kim1963
May 21 2007, 02:42 AM
I have RLS but I take no pills for it .. at night it is the worst for me ..I have a hard time sitting still...my legs in the front feel like they jump and my husband will rub them for me ..it works and it helps me fall to sleep .. it basicaly calms them until I fall to sleep .. it has never work me up or anything like that ..but it is a pain in the bottom because just when I want to settle down for some life time tv movie it hits and it does not go away until he rubs them .
I have a off the subject question .. its about mammograms ...at 40 they say you should have them every year .. well I am 43 and I have had three so far and they say my breast are dense ... now i know they do not think they are stupid lol but I was wondering if anyone has ever heard that about theres ... no other problems are there they just measured the density .

Sorry you are feeling crap Elizabeth.

Unfortunately over 50% of patients suffer with these side effects. I would suggest you stop driving and go back to see the doctor. It may be that they can try you on a different medication or reduce the dose. I doubt these side effects will wear off.
Kim; I haven't had a mammogram but it is common for some breast tissue to be more dense than others

! It makes it harder to get a good scan but is not an indication of cancer or anything bad.
Andrea
Nadinea
May 21 2007, 12:25 PM
Kim--I also have what they refer as dense breasts, it seems to make it harder to detect potential problems.
Because of that, I found a hospital that does digital mammograms which is supposed to be able to see more
than a regular one. I go once a year for a complete mammogram and every 6 months to check my right
side, because they found "a mass" , which they don't think is anything to worry about at this point. It's a really serious issue that hits very close to home, my sister died from breast cancer that traveled to her brain
It took her life in less than four years. Get those mammograms, girls. If you find a lump or feel something
suspious, don't wait, get it checked out ASAP!
Jill
kim1963
May 21 2007, 03:49 PM
Yes you are right Andrea I guess it is harder to get a good scan ...they said nothing was found ... but in 6 months they want a repeat .. my dr. said if they even thought remotly that I had something they would never wait 6 months ...what is a digital ...cause I go in and how can you tell I got to like the best hospital around for women care...do they still use the plates and film ..cause I filled out a fill envelope while I waited .
Jill ....they said they found a mass ? and what is that mass ? how old are you hun ? I also was told that premenopause can make your dense ...ever hear that ?

Hi guys, is there anyone else out there that has Restless Leg Syndrome bad enough to have to take medication every day? If so, what kind of medicine are you taking? I take Mirapex, but it is loosing it effectiveness and the only other drugs they are offering are ones that have been in the news for destroying heart muscles. Does anyone take anything different?

KIM--they told me that they believe it to be a lymph node, since I am 47, it could be also premenapausal
kind of thing. But, anyway it's something to keep an watchful on. My next mammo is coming up in a month.
Hopefully*** there will be no change.

Is there anyone else ol Drawspace who is trying to raise Live bearing tropical fish? I have over forty babies in a net breeder and a momma guppy who looks like she might give birth tonight.

A swordtail had over twenty this evening after the pet store closed, and I'm sure the net breeder is over crowded. I will get another one tomorrow and another tank probably. I already had over twenty platies in the net breeder. It is only about four by five inches.
