Kim it worked for me .. I stayed awake half the night coughing.. laying down made it worse.. I did the Vicks on the feet and it made such a difference.. not to mention my feet were a lot softer ha !!
I wasn't aware that rabbits were so childlike.. You think your floors are clean til you put a baby down to crawl around.. they find the tiniest little things..

what eles helps is to get on your knees and lean forward putting your head lower then the chest .. it will move everything out .. you will cough alot at first and feel like your drowning but it comes up and you spit it out ...now i know that sounds gross but it clear the lungs for awhile .

Does sound weird but then again when my dad was learning how to swallow after a stroke I learned that in order to swallow properly you need to lower your chin to your neck and then swallow.. Most would think you should throw your head back to swallow.. when in fact it constricts the throat.. They cut a notch out of a Styrofoam cup where his nose wouldn't stop the cup as he brought his chin down.. It worked very well.. One really learns a lot in rehab..
Thanks for tip Kim..

Well my friends! I'm almost back to full fettle after being quite poorly.

Quick update. My glands started to swell up a week ago friday. Over the weekend, it became so painfull, I couldn't eat. Saw the Doc on monday. appears I had infected saliva glands. The pain was so intense, I've never known anything like it. Couldn't move my tongue at all. Which is pretty inconvenient when you need to swallow medication! Couldn't speak, it was so painfull. Didn't eat anything untill the following friday when I managed to get a soft boiled egg inside me! Was feeling pretty weak and feeble by then! But picked up over the weekend and went back to work today! More out of necessity than anything! Need to get some money in the bank! Still feeling pretty washed out, but getting there! Sorry for my intermitant visits! And sorry for not joining in with the trades and challenges! Hoping to get back at it soon! Need to concentrate on finances first!

Steve.. What a horrible battle you have been thru.. I just hate that all this happened to you.. Being so sick as to not be able to take the one thing that is going to help you is not a good thing.. Nourishment and medication .. Had to be so painful..
I am glad that you are able to go back to work and certainly understand the need.. but be careful not to over do and have a relapse !! .. My best .. and .. Continued health is my wish for you.. Carol

I am sure that if things got too bad and you couldn't eat, Steve, you could always go for that great Irish liquid meal............Guinness!
