Thanks Paulette. I'm giving it to her owner at the weekend.

Let us know how that goes.

biggrin.gif Andrea, Awesome job, great details, all around perfect!! I am sure the owner will love it. Have you figured out your pricing yet?
IRBaboon
Thanks Venus. No, I'm still totally lost on the best way to price my work, especially as I'm a new 'artist' (I say that laughing!) and not an established one.

Andrea, I can't advise you as what to charge as an artist. However I have been self-employed for 30 years and pricing is the hardest part of my business. But I know that you have to come across as confident with your pricing or the customer will fill like you are taking advantage of them. Just because you are a beginner you don't have to give your work away on the other hand you may not be able to command a high commission either, but do value yourself. Don't apologize or stammer as you are handing them an invoice. It is better to give them a price before doing the work. Be proud of your work, and keep in mind this is not something they had to have.

Thanks for that advice Nancy. I agree with you, pricing is the hard part.
I should have discussed pricing with her first but 1) I didn't know how my painting would turn out having not done that kind of fur before and 2) since then she has asked for 2 other paintings as well, so I would need to give her a discount anyway.
I will need to discuss it with her this weekend.
