What an excellent place to find...I am thoroughly enjoying myself, as it's been too long I've put my drawing/painting aside, now I'm in a new place in my life and feel incredibly fortunate to find a site such as this to help with my progression back into my artistic world, so happy to be learning and creating again, THANKS!!!

I love this site too!!!
Designsbygirl.. I think that I felt a lot like you do when I first found the site... shortly after finding the site, my husband and I decided to build a sunroom and I decided that I would really enjoy using the space as my studio! So, one day after we had totally finished the space... we were celebrating by enjoying a glass of wine or two! ( or maybe it was a bottle or two!) And I decided to order an art table... which I promptly did... it arrived a week later, and I haven't looked back since! I started to do some challenges ( some times I posted, sometimes I didn't) but the main thing was I started t o create again! A short time later, I found Cindy's Paint in your pj's classes and took the unit #2 Acrylics... and was so impressed with the amount that I'd learned that I decided then and there to take all of the units!
Thank you Cindy and Drawspace!!!
Songsparrow.. I've been lurking( I love your work!) I plan to do more challenges and join an ATC trade at some point... but right now I am focused on getting my class work done and practicing my new skills with projects that I've set for myself! So much to create and not enough time!!!...

Isn't art a wonderful thing?

I love the creative process and the end results! (Well not always the end results!

Hello,
I joined this site a year ago. During this time I have completed a few of the tutorials and now have joined Cindy's beginner class. I have read her book and like others put my artistic side to a halt at an early age. I have recently tried drawing again and have become frustrated. This site has a lot of people with the same story in place. It is amazing how life can block out time for ourselves.
Recently I was on vacation thinking to myself what I should do with myself. I thought, I could go after certifications for my career that seems to be never ending or just be a worker bee. I felt lost because I really needed something for myself. My art ambitions I thought could wait until I retired (25 or so years). Then one day I looked in my e-mail account and saw a new news letter from Drawspace. It showed classes being posted. I requested information from Cindy and not only did she reply? She had paragragh after paragragh with responces that she had wrote herself. This was really unexpected. I thought I would receive generic responces and sign up for a class. I am really excited to begin next week. The first time in a while!!!

Aledid, I am so happy that you decided to do something for yourself! Welcome to Cindy's alumni, I know that you'll really love the classes and the personal feedback that you'll get from Cindy and the support that you'll get from your classmates! I am currently in week 3 of Unit 5 - perspective, a subject that most find intimidating, but somehow she's made it seem easy. Cindy has a way of teaching that makes sense, and if necessary she will also tell you exactly what you've done wrong and how to correct it. My best advice is to .....ENJOY!

Yes, Aledid - Cindy really DOES offer personalized instruction, and she is truly determined that even the most stubborn among us give in and become competent artists!

Welcome! Glad you have found a new direction in your life that is making you happy. There is so much to do all over the site - heaps of free lessons and lots of fantastic courses that you pay for. I have just finished Judith Campanaro's "Artful Journey In Self Discovery" and I can thoroughly recommend this. Judith is an amazing teacher who was so encouraging and inspiring and I learnt so much about myself and what I want out of life - so much so that I am now enrolled in Uni hopefully heading for a BA in Fine Arts! Judith responded promptly whenever I posted something and I was totally amazed what she saw in my work. She really has incredible insights. I know you will enjoy everything you do on Draw Space. Have fun! Xareth
