Well I finally decided to take part of a weekly challenge. It was a very hard picture lol I kinda lost patience with it but I decided to finish it anyways. I definitely need practice

Omg :S I tried the fly and it looks horrible I can't even finish it because I tried watercolour in my sketchbook then I tried marker over it and like it's ruining the paper. I might restart it I don't know yet.

Time to start actually drawing and not just watching all of you draw, so here goes my first challenge.
Done regular printer paper with just a mechanical pencil in about 20 minutes.

I must say I like this one better than the pin I did. I kinda ruined it at the end when I tried to make a background so I had to darken a few other parts. I hope it looks alright

DeboraM. That is a great fly! As is yours Roxanne. I think we're gonna need a fly swatter around here soon!

Roxanne, if you were to put a really dark outline around your brooch (pendant?) I'm sure it would improve it imeasureably! Try it on a print out first. The colours are great, but you just need to throw it forward a bit. Outlining would do this.

Awesome job on the pin Kim. I gave your nephew a try. Portraits are always a challenge to me, somehow they never quite look like the person I am trying to draw. I know you never get to where you want to go unless you get started, so its a start. Brenda does have some really good lessons to use to help us along.

Nancy I think it is looking very much like him ...his eyes are dark and I have trouble with dark eyes so is the angle of his face .

Ok Kim my friend says I am obessive, but I have preformed cosmetic surgery on your nephew lets just say a few times this week, not thrilled with it but I think it resembles him a little bit more than my first and second, third attempts. Now maybe I will get back to work and pay for the place.

portrait are hard to do ...drawing people is one thing but to make it look like the guy or girl thats the tricky part .
