The human face is a very flexible instrument, capable of expressing infinite nuance of emotion. Most of the time, though, we draw faces frozen in the same old smiling expression. Boooo-ring!
Let's get out of the rut. In the following five photos (each shown in a color and black and white version) our two elegant and cooperative models are showing you something interesting the human face can do. Wrinkles, tongues, and even uvulas are all on display. Bet you've never drawn a uvula! Note that these children are actors. No actual crying was induced for these photos.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it: draw any (or all!) of these pictures in any drawing medium you choose, and post the result here. We'll run this challenge for two weeks, to give people a chance to post a couple of drawings if they'd like.

OK, me first. This is more of a sketch than a finished drawing. This was easier than I thought it would be.

Awesome, Kim! I love the little touches like the baby fat at the wrists. Your drawings of kids really come alive.

Another funny face -- not one of these photos, though. Andrea has also done a drawing from the same photo; maybe she'll post hers here too.

Brilliant drawing Ernest, love the tongue and the highlights and depth of the shadows!
As suggested here is mine.
I've also added a couple of others I did previously of facial expressions; hope that's okay
