Hi all,

welcome to Snoopy 101 cartoon challenge, my name is Brian David your host. Although I am no expert on this, one of my most favorite fantasy stories of all time the "Wonderful Wizard of Oz"

The Storey line based on a school girl "Dorothy Gale'' from Kansas who lives on a farm but dreams of a better place "some where over the rainbow". Dorothy is struck unconscious during a tornado and dreams that she and her dog Toto are transported to the magical and colorful land of Oz.

In 1961 Crawly films produced "Tales of the Wizard of Oz" an animated television series featured stories derived from characters created in the book "The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz". Later artistic renditions of the Oz characters were featured in the hour long television special "Return to Oz"

My Challenge , I encourage all levels of skill to participate.

Simply draw one of the references I have provided below by the original artists, or any reference you wish, you may use any type of medium you like, please no computer graphics, all drawings must be hand drawn. You may use your computer, Photo-shop, etc. for color or text but please post your original drawing first.

Wow ! There's some pretty awesome line work in there ! That looks like a challenging... challenge

I do not know what to do? I have made few sketches for other challenges and would love to participate in this too, but my scanner is not working.

I do not have a digital camera and my mobile has just 1MP. So I will not be able to upload my sketches

Any one here knows any way out or will be able to guide on how to fix my scanner?

I must add that the reference images are good. I would love to try some of them

Hi 1_8 thanks, and sorry to hear about your scanner. I would be glad to help if I can, what is going on with it? also you can always do your sketch and upload it at a later date, these challenges never actually expire so I look forward to your drawing.

due to the low volume of participants over the last few weeks, I have decided to take a break from the challenges, thanks to all past hosts and participants, I have enjoyed bringing them to you and hope to continue with Snoopy 101 at a later date.

Yes, Brian I will draw them and upload later, when my printer works or when I have time to get it repaired. I just checked this thread today and saw that its been closed. I will miss the lovely cartoons, but I will post them mine here in future when my printer will work.
As for my printer, it is a scanner, printer and photocopy in one. The other day I was scanning few photos and suddenly it stopped working. Now whenever I switch it on, the lights just flicker for a second or so and then they just go out, the printer does not work at all. So does anyone know what is the matter with it?

this challenge is still open for any one who wishes to participate, sounds like you may have some kind of electrical short with your all in one....how old is it? I would shut every thing down including your computer and try to re start it, I would also check all your connections including your USB and electrical outlet. I would also check your manual for trouble-shooting or even contact the company who made it.

Yes Brian I have checked all of the above and now I will have to take it for repair. I was trying to make it work on my own.... but I have no option now. I think it is been there for around 5 years or so.

Hi 1_8, sorry to hear this, I know scanners can be an artist worst nightmare, I have a fairly new scanner because my last printer broke down , so I decided to buy a HP all in one....so far so good....

I am still planning on getting some drawings done....

Just remember 1_8 to check the cost of ink cartridges before commiting to a new scanner if that's the way you have to go. Some of them are crippling in costs!

Hey thanks Sonia, I can imagine how busy you must be, and admire the challenge you are hosting this week, I have been wanting to participate but also having trouble finding time, though I still hope to try.
