Since my daughter has got into colouring. I have found myself sitting and colouring in as well. And I find it really relaxing, and nice to pick colour schemes.
Does anyone else enjoy it ?
And do you think this helps with other art work you do ?
We have mostly Disney colouring books as me and my DD are obsessed with Disney.

I did enjoyed it with my first kid. With second one not so much anymore. With third child I do it because she wants me to. I've coloured so many pictures in my life that ... No, I don't. biggrin.gif

I don't mind colouring. When I was younger I had colouring books and I would bring them with me so I can colour. But it's been a while I didn't colour in a colouring book but I colour pictures I draw I can't really seem to make them in only pencils

I have a three year old grandson whose prize possession is his box of crayons and his books to color in. I enjoy coloring with him and see him develop. He is doing well and hopefully will be inspired to enjoy art as much as his grandmother does.

I have two adult coloring books in which you yourself can color great works of art. One of them is a Gaugin coloring book and the other is a book of about 50 famous works from various artists from Picasso to Botticelli. The publisher is Dover Press.

These might be interesting. I've never seen coloring books for adults.

Some great responses thanks! These adult colouring books sound great. Going to have a search for them online.

I hardly remember my childhood coloring books; must have been before the age of 4.Because drawing freestyle at the age and 4,5,6 I remember.
But I found this lil cute girl and gave it a try and invite you to color it if you like it.Let's see how many cool ways of coloring the same pattern we can come up with. Here is my version.

Open the thumbnail, put a sheet of thin paper on your screen, trace the lines and... colour it! smile.gif

I alway asked for colouring books and pencils for birthday and Christmas presents. I was at my happiest while colouring in or drawing.

Thanks for the links Jangra, and Shades of Blue, great tip, thanks smile.gif

I don't know why, but lately I've had an obsession with colouring; I find it more relaxin' than plain pencil drawings. biggrin.gif
