Hi everyone,

welcome to Snoopy 101 Cartoon challenge....My name is Brian David your host for this challenge....It seems there were a few interested in drawing Caricatures so I decided to try a Cartoon Caricature challenge. Hope you all have fun and enjoy this.

What really is a Caricature..? and I am no expert on this...but from what I have learned in many ways a caricature is sort of a Cartoon Portrait.... too in many ways usually exaggerates certain features of a person, or blows those features way out of proportion. Keeping in mind though the artist usually tries to keep the subject easily identifiable. Caricatures date back as early as the 17th century and were intended to produce drawings loaded with lots of meaning. Eventually these drawings became very popular in what as we know today as editorials or political cartoons.

Challenge....try to create one of your very own Caricatures from any reference photo you like. You may do a caricature of for example of a friend...or even yourself...or you may want to try a celebrity.

Here is an example of one I tried...after watching the movie Fargo...I think he was referred to as the funny looking guy...lol....Steve Busemi....wow what a movie.

Hi Laurie...how are you? yes you did inspire me to do this challenge...and a few others as I mentioned in my intro that were interested ... ....Well hope you will do one for us...and please add any idea's you may have to this challenge... I was hoping more would take part.

Okay, Bri-guy... I am way behind but I am almost back and here is my 3 minute Elvis with a derwent pencil.
Not good but my first charicature. I kind of depended on the lip for identification.

Well they say Caricatures are meant to be funny looking......lol...Okay Cyn Kid I am in tears laughing at your Elvis ..3 minutes ayy ....I love it! and I think it's great.......and so glad to see you honey bun..ch ....

Thanks guys. This is a lot of fun. My poor brain gets muddled with tring to decide someones most apparent feature.. Like Bing Crosbys ears.
