As most of you all know .. I have been in to the Depression Era in my Art.. I found this along the way and thought it would be good to share ,,in that it lets us see just how Art changed so many life's during this time .. I found this to be so interesting .The Depression Era and Art

MY favorite is the Urban living one with all the apt. on top of each other and laundry drying on lines .. I just love that one .. but then so did the white house as that one is hanging there ... also I loved the Central Park skating one .

You know the first thing that popped in to this pea brain of mine when I saw that one was .. Kay and her Perspective ..
I know that this video is lengthy,,, but .. oh how powerful some of this Era Art is..

Thank you for posting this. I had to watch it twice and then pick out my favs. My top 3 are.... #3 Agnes Tait, Central park...#2Lily Furedi, Subway....and #1 tyrone Comfort, Gold is where you find it...all of them are amazing paintings from an amazing time! That our country stepped up to the plate and help support the artists of the time to maintain their lively hood in a reproductive and respectful manor...just incredible and something that we could learn from today!
