I'm no expert on landscapes but I believe the general rule is that things in the foreground need to be lighter than the things in the background. I believe Brenda did some lessons on trees/leaves, so you could check them out. You don't appear to have a horizon of any sort in the picture (a division between the ground and the sky).

Hope that helps a little.

Things in the foreground will be darker or more contrast than things in the background. This is because particles in the air, water vapor and dust, obstruct our vision slightly and the more air there is between us and the object the more out vision is obstructed. It's like fog except less obstruction. This is called atmospheric perspective.
I think the trees in the background look right for this. The trees in front could use a little more contrast. Then fade the contrast more as you work back through the white trees.

Now about the leaves. You do the same thing as the trees except you also use less detail the farther away the leaves are. So on the ground you would either outline some leaves with the color of your choosing or shade the leaf shape where it would be. Then the farther away the leaves are you just do less detail and lighter color.

Hope this helps

You did a good job! Before you head on to the next one give Brenda's lesson V01 a try. I think you will be very pleased with how this helps.
