Hi Kim... The wound didn't heal because the tree I impaled my hand on is toxic. They said that ALL the different varieties of Umbrella tree have mild to medium toxins. The tree has great big leaves that look like grape leaves and they grow like vines, all the way to the ground and you trim them so they are even across the bottom and the tree looks like an umbrella. Anyway, the poisons in the tree kept the laceration from healing. In was quite infected with poison. I change the dressing twice a day and pour antibiotic saline on the wound. It doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it looks. But as far as pain goes, I refuse to participate.

Well I'm back - my internet has been up and down and up and down and oh dear it's been a nightmare getting it back up. But it seems to be working just fine so maybe I can get posting again
