Hey

I found this site today after reading an article on it in the Corel Painter magazine. I come from a mainly photography background mixed up with digital art using Adobe Photoshop. I want to lean more toward a painterly direction combined with my photography and Corel Painter/Photoshop. This would mean often sketching and drawing images before scanning them in and finalizing the drawings digitally. Seeing I can't draw for peanuts, there is no way around learning how to do it properly. Hence this site smile.gif I have already taken a shot at drawing the duck with the candle wick coming out of its head in one of the beginner's lessons here. I thought it turned out okay, although I can still hear my wife laughing upstairs as I write this, I think she thought I would immediately come out with a Picasso or something smile.gif

Anyway I really hope this site will help me, I will work through the lessons systematically and see if something can be done with me. I have to warn you though, my drawing skills really suck, I have been trying all day long to draw a freehand circle but I always end up with egg or pear shapes. This is gonna need some time. But I will persevere with it and maybe sometime in the next year or so I might even upload one of my results.

So enough rambling and back into the lessons.

thanks
