Hi William,
I got your card over the weekend but I was away and just now opened it. It is really really good. It is a good card for me, I live in Florida, across the state from where the space shuttle is launched. I can see the shuttle when it clears the launch platform and begins its ascent into the sky. I have several pictures of the shuttle just after lift off taken from my house.
Getting back to the card you made for me, it is just great. I am so happy that you were in this ATC trade. I love the decoration of the envelope too, a hand giving the peace sign. Great job on this too! Thank you for the trade. I hope we can do it again in the future.

Now that really gives away our ages doesn't it.........fondly remember the Mod Sqad, but also loved the UK TV series from back then too........The Sweeney (loved that Flying Squad!).........The Professional's Bodie & Doyle....great gritty cop shows even back then when so many were just cheesy, good guys alwys win stuff.

I had a favourite that they tried to ressurect a little while ago........didn't last. I loved the Original Randall & Hopkirk, deceased.........but they may have just sneaked in to the 70's????

I haven't had any cards for a while, so am hoping that the last few will land in the letterbox this week. Looking fwd to them, but I know their arrival is at the vagaries of the postal system. laugh.gif

We are getting repeats of all these shows on TV now. Watched an episode of Minder this evening! happy.gif

Don't think I could watch that show now without thinking of 'Little Britain's' Dennis Waterman sketches....LOL!!

Thought I would take a minute this morning and post my 1st collection of ATC cards. This has really been a fun experience and it is neat to have bits of other peoples masterpieces. My favorite has to be the one from William. I received the Apollo 11 one, you can see Paulette is raising her son with high standards, he has a nice compositon with the eagle and "space details" as the background, he has some crosshatching going on , I certainly didn't have a clue what that was about when I was his age. Nice job William, hope you have keep up with your art throughout your life.
I can't think of another decade that you can recognize just by the symbols as the 60's, three of my card were of symbols. Kim sent me a really colorful and patriotic hand peace sign, Jeanne sent one with all the 60's symbols combined on a colorful background and we know the 60's was colorful, it has the love peace and peacesign with a sprinkling of flowers, Trish sent the Make Love NOT War psychedelic poster with mixed mediums. Sue sent a really neat and detailed one of one of my favorite shows Bewitched, Zwaagstar sent one of my not so favorite presidents, LOL. Kay sent me the high fashion Simplicity Pattern and Roxane sent the Twister game, who could forget that one but I never would have thought about it. Thanks for the trip back through my youth and I enjoyed every one of them. I am missing one but I think that was my faught for not making sure my address was in on time.

I made alot of research on my cards so I wanted to have different things than peace signs even though I had some peace signs on one of my card. But other than that I think my cards were somewhat of different things
