I know the purpose of this board is to teach people about drawing and for others to showcase the artwork. If I understand the rules here, you're not allowed to post any artwork in the gallery unless it's your own. Not someone elses. However. I've noticed that someone had done just that. Also, and I started another thread in reguards to this issue, Why are people posting photos in the art gallery? It's not supposed to be a photo gallery. It's supposed to be an ART gallery. It just seems that the purpose of this board is being lost a little.

I know which photo you are on about but if you think that there is something on the forum/gallery that you think shouldnt be there , there is a 'Report' button where you can report it ..

‘tis true. Things are quite unfocused in the forum and gallery. We’re talking about ways to improve that right now. The root of the problem is that we’re trying to take a pre-built package and adapt it to our own purposes, which is quite limiting. We’ll get something worked out
As for the photographs appearing in the gallery - a lot of them are clearly being posted as references, which we don’t have any problem with. The ones that aren't, (like that screenshot from Ultima Online posted yesterday... among other things) please report them.

Maybe we need some guidlines on what we can and cannot post.. i know im very guilty of going off on little sidetracked chats about stuff etc on the forums

but i try and keep them 'drawspace' related as much as my lickle brian can cope with but a swift telling off wont go amiss

rsine,
Yea, I agree, with the increased popularity of this fledgling site. We need to get some stringent guidelines down or we may end up just being an art storage dump. A place where anyone and everyone posts whatever they find interesting on the Internet for others to enjoy. And you thought Napster was dead!
Then soon you'll be getting mpegs, mp3s, Metalica Hate Mail, CD ISOs, video clips, links to questionable sites, VOIP Phone Calls, P**NO, tupperware ads, and all the other megalamultitudimus (made that one up) things that orbit cyberspace. Gosh, I could make a mobile of cyberspace and if someone gave me a landlink I could mail it in!
I hope I got everyone's drifts,
Eric

I think everyone should post everything here and step back and see how far the site goes when she blows! Yes I am bored.

That's Calvin! The Master of Gloom and Doom! I bet you used to draw pictures of jet fighters, tanks, rocket bombs and missiles when you were in grade school, didn't you?

Actually it was a page full of curved lines from the bottom of the page up and off symbolizing rocket taking off and landing on boats. Had not thought of that for at least part of a milenium. I will include one.

That looks like a bad video game of "Cannon" or whatever it was called, where you control the angle and strength of a cannon and try to hit the enemy cannon first, but the enemy is at a different altitude from you and sometimes there's a high wind but the game calculates the physics of it all.
