Well I'm Keira and I'm 20. I know I joined this site a while ago and had forgotten until just recently, I've spent the last couple weeks just lurking around. Art and me have had a love-hate relationship for most of my life (being that when I did anything artistic it generally turned out fine, but I horribly neglected it in lieu of wanting and being one of those crazy party girls with more social life than they can handle) That all slowed down when I had my daughter a year ago and since then my life has been a blur of laundry, diapers and a few months of darn near sleepless nights. I've been back at work for about 5 months now and things are finally starting to get more routine giving me some time for myself (not tons, but some is better than none!) I've decided that I will use this time to my advantage and try to re-develop my skills (and get a business management degree, haha.) I was in art class in highschool and so I got to develop a little there, but I would definately like to further my skills. Mainly I draw, strictly pencil, I've never attempted color (but am going to, I already have the Prisma's for it!) I also have played with paint, not oils, but I would love to maybe be brave enough to give them a go one day. Anyways I think that I have rambled enough. Can't wait to get to know some of you, you're all very artistic people!

Welcome. I didn't try any art work until I was 60 something. My grandaughter was doing it in home school in Wy. So I thought I would give it a try. Actually, I did some acrylics early on that came out half decent. Then I realized I needed more of the basics, so here I am. Try some of the lessons, do some of your own and post them. You will enjoy it here.

Thanks to each one of you for the welcomes. Hopefully I'll be able to get something up soon, probably not for a week just because I have some other stuff to get done first. I'm looking forward to my experience here!
