HI Lisa, let us know if you make it into the juried show and how you go, I love these, there is a kind of warm nostaligic feeling about these images. Keep going you are doing so well. Cheers! Cindy

'The Mode Less Traveled' is in the art show and will be hanging at the Hamilton Art Gallery until May 15th. This is another one of those shows where "juried" means simply accepted into the show but there are no prizes just satisfaction and pride in knowing someone else likes your work! I feel very honored as you should have seen the beautiful ones NOT selected for the show.

Hi Len,
Thanks so much! Do you mean the shoe? It was one of the first pieces that I did right after taking Cindy's Paint and Draw in Your Pyjamas unit 3 shading. It probably took me about 20 hours to finish. It takes alot of patience LOL! Can't be rushed though, just have to surrender yourself! It was the very first artwork that I sold too, so ot is special for me in that way too, thank you again for asking about it. If you have any othere questions please don't hesitate to ask me.
Happy Drawing,
Tannis

I stand corrected, it was indeed a juried show. The best in show was a stunning still life that when you looked at the shiny carafe you had the idea that you were going to see your reflection in it. It was an amazing oil painting that caught your attention from across the room. Two other wonderful paintings got honorable mentions but I was not unhappy with mine in the midst of such talent. It certainly didn't look out of place and for that I am grateful. I don't expect to be doing my best work for another few years and many, many hours!

Thank you, Tannis. I've been peeking at your work on Cindy's new site and I love your work! I hope you are very successful in teaching others. You can't imagine what a joy this journey has been for me and continues to be.
