Hi everyone I am new here and am new to art

In my family my younger brother was the artist and I wasnt
I couldnt even draw stick people
But I am doing the lessons and I think with practise I might become an ok artist!!!

I am learning all I can and drawing as best as I can
Right now (because my husband wont indulge another of my hobbie attempts) I am drawing with a simple sketch book and a number 2 pencil
hopefully I can get him to buy me some supplies!!!
Well I look forward to meeting all of you and you watching me grow as an artist!

Welcome to the Drawspace, sounds like you already have what you need to get started. That's the best part about drawing with graphite, you don't need much more than desire to draw. If you add a pencil make it a 2B and you are off to the races.

Check out the dollar store, when I started I drew with the school pencil for a while, then I bought a set of twelve 4h through 8b at the dollar store and a decent sketch pad.
