Hi Everyone smile.gif

Today I completed my first ever paid drawing for someone else. I have drawn many drawings for people but never on a business aspect.

I am very proud of how it came out. Total time spent on the drawing was 14 hours.

Take a look at my album and let me know what you think!

Thanks so much!

Hi Aimee, Just had a look at your great drawing. It has lots of character and style to it. I am sure this will be the first of many commissions you will do. Just one bit of advice if I may and that is to up your paper size. If you up it to say maybe A3 you will find you will give yourself a lot more freedom to add more detail to your work. Once again great work biggrin.gif

Hi,
Lovely job of Yoda. I saw the rest of your gallery and was impressed by the different styles you draw in. I think the person who commissioned Yoda will be pleased with your efforts.
Best wishes,
Trish

Hi Everyone,

Thankyou so much for your great comments. I really appreciate the feedback happy.gif I was very nervous to take on my first commission work. I did offer him A3 however he wanted A4 so he can frame it with the photo. I am still nervous to send it off. I will be doing that tomorrow.

I guess I am pretty hard on myself when it comes to drawings. I tend to think I dont draw well enough to ask money, so it was quite a surprise to see that someone wanted a drawing.

My next commission (yes I got another one!), is a tortoiseshell cat portrait on an A3 size in graphite pencils :-) I havent drawn a cat in many years however my friend who requested the drawing is confident that I can handle it.

Any tips about drawing cats would be greatly appreciated smile.gif

Thanks again for all the feedback!
