I was trying to change my avatar, by replacing the image I have with another from my computer. But no matter which file I chose, the site kept showing me the same image (of the horse).. I was able to change the avatar if I uploaded the image I want to a hosting-site, but then the image scaler would change the size and distort the image. The file I would like to use is 100 pixel wide and 41 high, and the scaler changed it to 100 x 100. Is it not possible to decide the proportions myself?

Thank you for your help.

Hmm - strange - I can see that it has changed now, because I left it another image last night, when it was still only showing the horse. Is it so that it simply takes some time before the avatar changes? *confused*

EDIT: Ok I managed to do it myself, but it was a very roundabout way, that I finally made it work.

I am not sure why, but it can take up to a couple of days before the change happens. I have had people mention a new avatar before I could even see it. It might have something to do with Admin having to check it out? So long as it is within the guildlines, size etc. just leave it, it will change.

That happend to me too before....Then I realised that all you have to do is close the page (drawspace) and open it again, and voil?, the picture/avatar is changed.

I know when I changed my avatar - dummy me - I didn't scroll on down and click on the button to actually change it. I would move away from the page and expect it to be different and when it wasn't, I was frustrated. I finally tried it again, scrolled down a little and "voila" - there was this darned button I had not selected. laugh.gif
